Software Usage Instructions

Select audio files: Click “Click to select audio, or drag files here” to import audio files that need to be compressed, such as MP3, WAV, FLAC, AAC, M4A, OGG, OPUS, and more. When importing in batches, the interface displays the first 20 files, but processing will include all files.
Load sample audio: If you want to preview the workflow first, click “Load sample audio,” and the tool will generate a test audio clip for the compression demo.
Set the compression mode:
- Balanced quality: Apply parameters based on use cases such as music, general, voice, or small file size.
- Target size: Estimate the output bitrate based on the retention ratio of the original file.
- Custom: Manually set parameters such as bitrate, format, sample rate, and channels.
Configure output parameters: Choose MP3, M4A, OGG, WebM, or FLAC format, and set the sample rate, mono/stereo, loudness normalization, high-pass filter, whether to keep audio tags, and whether to generate a processing report as needed.
Save settings: Click “Save settings” to save commonly used compression parameters for reuse in future batch processing.
Start compression: After entering the “Process and Download” page, click “Start compression” and wait for the progress to complete.
Preview and download: After compression is complete, you can preview the first 20 results, download a specific file individually, or click “Download all results as ZIP” to package and save all results.

FAQ

A: It will have some impact, mainly depending on the bitrate, encoding format, sample rate, and channel settings. For music, 128kbps to 192kbps is recommended; for voice, 64kbps to 96kbps can be used.

A: Balanced quality is suitable for quickly applying common parameters; Target size is suitable for compressing based on file size ratio; Custom is suitable for manually controlling the bitrate, format, sample rate, and channels.

A: The lower the bitrate, the smaller the file size usually is, but details will be reduced. For music, you can choose 128kbps or 192kbps; for voice recordings, 64kbps or 80kbps; if a smaller file size is required, you can lower it further.

A: Yes. For voice audio, you can use 16kHz, 22.05kHz, or 32kHz and convert to mono to reduce the amount of data; for music, it is generally recommended to keep 44.1kHz and the original channels.

A: The original file may already be low-bitrate audio, or the output settings may be higher than the original file. You can lower the bitrate, switch to mono, reduce the sample rate, or choose codecs such as OGG/WebM.

A: By default, the result file keeps the original file name and replaces it with the output format extension. If multiple files have the same name, numbers are automatically added to the file name to avoid overwriting.

A: Large files use more memory and processing time. We recommend processing them in batches: test the settings with one file first, then compress in bulk. If your device becomes sluggish, reduce the output format complexity or process fewer files at the same time.
