Software Usage Instructions

Select audio files: Click the “Select Audio Files” area and choose the audio files whose bitrate you want to adjust. Batch selection is supported, and formats such as MP3, WAV, FLAC, AAC, M4A, OGG, OPUS, WMA, AIFF, and AMR are compatible.
Set the output format and bitrate:
- 32-64 kbps: Suitable for speech, meeting recordings, course explanations, and similar content, with smaller file sizes.
- 96-128 kbps: Suitable for everyday playback, web audio, and general music content.
- 160-192 kbps: Suitable for music files and podcast publishing, balancing clarity and file size.
- 224-320 kbps: Suitable for audio content that needs to retain more musical detail.
Adjust the sample rate and channels: You can keep the original parameters, or manually select sample rates such as 48kHz, 44.1kHz, or 16kHz, and set the audio to mono or stereo.
Configure processing options: You can enable volume normalization, adjust volume gain, set start and end times, trim duration, add fade-in and fade-out, and apply high-pass and low-pass filters.
Save settings: Click “Save Settings” to save commonly used output formats, bitrates, sample rates, channels, and processing parameters for future use.
Start processing and download: Click “Start Adjusting Bitrate” and wait for processing to complete. You can preview the first 20 results and click “Download All Results ZIP” to save the processed audio files.

FAQ

A: Audio bitrate indicates the amount of audio data per second, usually measured in kbps. The higher the bitrate, the larger the file usually is and the more audio detail is retained; the lower the bitrate, the smaller the file size, but some detail may be reduced.

A: For speech content, choose 32-96kbps; for courses and podcasts, choose 96-128kbps; for general music, choose 128-192kbps; and when you need to retain more musical detail, choose 224kbps or higher.

A: Simply adjusting the bitrate will not change the audio playback duration. The output audio duration will only change if you set a start time, end time, or trim duration.

A: WAV usually uses PCM encoding, which has a low compression ratio. File size is mainly affected by sample rate, channels, and bit depth. If your goal is to reduce file size, we recommend choosing MP3, M4A, OGG, or WebM format.

A: Processed results will keep the original file name and replace the extension based on the selected output format. If multiple processed files have the same name, the system will append a number to the file name to distinguish them.

A: Common reasons include corrupted files, nonstandard encoding, no recognizable audio track, files being too large and causing insufficient memory, or the current output format not supporting that parameter combination. You can try changing the output format, reducing the batch size, or using standard audio files.
