Tool Usage
Return to old versionThe tool calculates by finished curtain rod or track width and supports two common purchase methods: fixed height by width, or fixed width by height. Load sample data first, then replace it with your own sizes.
Size settings
Enter the curtain rod or track width first. Fill in the finished height from the curtain top to the desired bottom position.
Fabric parameters
Choose a purchase method first. Fixed height is common for 2.8 m-high fabric; fixed width is common for 1.4 m or 2.8 m fabric width.
Results
Click Start Calculation to generate suggested purchase quantity, cost estimate, and formula details. Results are for reference before ordering.

Software Usage Instructions
- Set dimensions: Enter the curtain rod or track width and finished height, and select a window type reference such as floor-to-ceiling window, half window, bay window, or full-wall curtain.
- Add installation parameters: Fill in the total left and right overlap based on actual measurements, choose single-opening or center-opening, and set single-layer curtains or fabric curtains plus sheer curtains.
- Select purchase method:
- Fixed height, buy by width: Suitable for fabrics with fixed heights such as 2.8 m and 3.0 m. Estimate the purchase length based on the width after pleating.
- Fixed width, buy by height: Suitable for fabrics with fixed widths such as 1.4 m and 1.5 m. Estimate the purchase length based on the required number of panels and the cutting length per panel.
- Adjust fabric parameters: Set the pleat multiplier, left and right hems, top and bottom hems, cutting loss, pattern repeat, purchase rounding, fabric unit price, and related costs.
- Start calculation: After entering the “Calculation Results” step, click “Start Calculation” to view the recommended purchase quantity, fabric cost, estimated total cost, and number of finished panels or cut fabric widths.
- View details: The results area displays the effective width, fabric width after pleating, number of widths, loss, rounding, and cost formulas for easy verification.
- Save and output: Click “Save Settings” to keep the current parameters, or copy the calculation results or print them for quotations and purchase records.
