Software Usage Instructions

Enter room data: Choose to calculate by room length and width, or directly enter the total wall perimeter, then enter the wallpapering height.
Set door and window deductions: Enter the quantity, width, and height of doors and windows. You can choose to deduct by area, deduct by roll width, deduct both, or not deduct.
Set wallpaper specifications: Choose common specifications or customize the width, length, and nominal coverage area of a single roll.
Configure waste and pattern matching: Select no pattern match, straight match, or offset match based on the wallpaper pattern, and enter the pattern repeat, trim margin, waste rate, and number of spare rolls.
Enter cost parameters: Enter the price per roll, and optionally add accessory material costs and installation costs to generate a total budget.
Switch to multi-room calculation: Add rooms such as living room, bedroom, and study to the multi-room list. The system will summarize the required quantity using the same set of wallpaper parameters.
View and export results: Go to the results page to view the recommended number of rolls to buy, area including waste, material cost, and budget. You can copy the results, export CSV, or print.

FAQ

A: Estimating by area is suitable for solid-color wallpaper or wallpaper with simple textures; cutting by roll width calculates based on wall perimeter, roll width, wall height, trim margin, and pattern repeat, making it more suitable for patterned wallpaper that requires pattern matching.

A: Cutting, edge trimming, seam adjustment, and pattern alignment all create waste. For ordinary walls, you can set about 10%; for patterned wallpaper or more complex walls, you can increase it appropriately and reserve spare rolls.

A: The pattern repeat is usually marked on the wallpaper packaging or product specifications and indicates the vertical distance at which the pattern repeats. Enter 0 if there is no obvious pattern; if pattern matching is required, enter it in centimeters, and the tool will convert it into the cutting length.

A: Large door and window areas can be deducted. For small windows, many edges and corners, or uncertain installation conditions, you can deduct less or not deduct them. If you want to leave a margin in the result, you can choose not to deduct them or deduct only by area.

A: You can directly measure the total perimeter of the walls to be covered and select “Enter perimeter directly.” If the room consists of multiple areas, you can also split it into multiple rooms, add them separately, and then total them.

A: Different rooms have different wall heights, doors and windows, and numbers of cut strips, so rounding up separately makes room-by-room installation and purchase checking easier. Spare rolls for the project will be added uniformly in the summary results.
