Tool Usage
Return to old versionConvert equivalent noise temperature Te, noise figure NF(dB), and linear noise factor F for RF, microwave, receiver, and link budget use.
Single conversion
Switch direction and enter parameters. Results refresh automatically. You can also turn off auto calculate and run manually.
Result
Results include the main result, linear noise factor, and conversion relation for easy spec checks.
Batch convert
One value per line, or separated by commas, spaces, or tabs. Confirm the direction and reference temperature before processing.
File batch
Select multiple TXT or CSV files. The first 20 files are shown; all files are processed.
Quick reference
The reference table updates with the reference temperature, for checking common NF and Te values.
| NF(dB) | F | Te(K) |

Instructions
Software Usage Instructions
- Set the conversion direction: In the single conversion area, select “Noise Temperature → Noise Figure” or “Noise Figure → Noise Temperature”. Confirm the direction before entering values.
- Enter parameters:
- Noise temperature to noise figure: Enter the equivalent noise temperature Te. You can choose K, °C, or °F; the tool will convert it to K before calculating.
- Noise figure to noise temperature: Enter NF(dB), or select the linear noise factor F for conversion.
- Set the reference temperature: The default reference temperature is 290K. You can also use quick values such as 77K, 300K, and 25°C, or manually enter T0.
- Adjust display precision: Choose 2, 4, 6, or 8 decimal places for easier engineering records, specification checks, or batch data organization.
- View conversion results: The results area displays the main result, equivalent noise temperature Te, noise figure NF(dB), linear noise factor F, and Te/T0.
- Batch convert data: Enter multiple values in the batch input box, one per line or separated by commas, spaces, or Tabs. Set the batch direction and click “Batch Convert”.
- Process TXT/CSV files: Select one or more TXT or CSV files, confirm the batch direction and input format, then click “Process File”. Results can be downloaded as a ZIP package.
- Save and export: You can save common settings; single results can be downloaded as TXT, batch results can be copied or downloaded as CSV, and file batch results can be downloaded as ZIP.
