Tool Usage
Return to old versionSuitable for VHF/UHF, WiFi bands, and common amateur radio Yagi antenna designs. Results are for size estimates and build reference. Before building, fine-tune with an antenna analyzer or NEC simulation.
Basic settings
Enter the center frequency and select the element count first. Click presets for common bands. Unit changes are converted to MHz automatically.
Correction parameters
Set element, boom, and environment parameters. Defaults suit common aluminum tube builds and can be saved as the startup defaults.
Calculate & export
After calculation, an element size table, structure diagram, radiation pattern, VSWR curve, bill of materials, and export files will be generated.
Results
A design summary will appear after calculation.

Software Usage Instructions
- Set the operating frequency: Enter the center frequency and select kHz, MHz, or GHz as the unit, or click preset bands such as 50MHz, 144MHz, 430MHz, 1296MHz, 2.4GHz, and 5.8GHz.
- Select the antenna configuration: Choose 3 elements, 5 elements, 7 elements, 10 elements, 13 elements, or a custom quantity of 3–30 elements, and select the DL6WU, NBS, or OWA design method.
- Configure the feed method: Select a standard dipole, folded dipole, or Gamma match. The tool will also provide impedance, matching method, and tuning suggestions.
- Set material and correction parameters: Enter the element diameter, boom diameter, boom wall thickness, and material type, and enable boom correction, insulated mounting, temperature correction, and wind load estimation according to the installation method.
- View calculation results: After clicking “Calculate Antenna Dimensions,” you can view the element dimension table, structural diagram, radiation pattern, VSWR frequency response, electrical performance, mechanical specifications, and bill of materials.
- Save and export: You can save the current settings, load historical designs, and export CSV, NEC, JSON, structural diagrams, radiation patterns, or save reports by printing.
