Software Usage Instructions

Set calculation parameters: First choose single calculation or batch calculation mode, then select the geometric shape, dimension unit, result unit, and number of decimal places.
Select a geometric shape: Supports shapes such as cube, rectangular prism, cylinder, sphere, cone, square pyramid, ellipsoid, torus, triangular prism, and frustum.
Enter dimension data:
- Single calculation: Enter dimension parameters such as side length, radius, height, and semi-axes as prompted on the page.
- Batch calculation: Upload a CSV file or paste CSV text. Fields may include shape, param1, param2, param3, unit, outputUnit, precision, description.
View formula steps: After checking “Show formulas and steps,” the calculation results will display the corresponding volume formula, parameter substitution process, and result unit.
Use sample data: Click the sample data button to quickly fill in parameters, making it easier to verify calculation methods for different geometric shapes.
Save and export results: Single results can be copied or exported as CSV or JSON; batch results can be exported as a summary file or downloaded as a ZIP result package.

A: Common geometric shapes are supported, including cube, rectangular prism, cylinder, sphere, cone, square pyramid, ellipsoid, torus, triangular prism, and frustum.

A: The CSV can use fields such as shape, param1, param2, param3, unit, outputUnit, precision, description. Fill in the geometric shape type for shape, and the corresponding dimension parameters for the param fields.

A: Yes. The dimension unit is used to interpret the input parameters, and the result unit is used for output conversion. For example, when entering centimeters and outputting liters, the tool first calculates the volume in centimeters and then converts it to liters.

A: Common reasons include unsupported shape names, insufficient parameters, dimensions that are not positive numbers, or incorrect units. You can download the template first and organize your data according to the field format.

A: A frustum of a cone requires the top radius, bottom radius, and height. The formula is V = 1/3 × π × h × (r₁² + r₁r₂ + r₂²).

A: You can set 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, or 8 decimal places. For engineering estimates, use 2 to 3 decimal places; for teaching or data verification, increase the number of places as needed.
