Software Usage Instructions

Set the material usage method: Choose sliced weight, filament length, or model volume. If you already have slicer data, it is recommended to enter the sliced weight and print time.
Enter material parameters: Select materials such as PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, TPU, nylon, or resin, or manually enter material density, material price, and support loss ratio.
Configure print parameters: Enter print hours, extra minutes, average power, electricity unit price, and calculate equipment depreciation based on printer price and expected lifespan.
Set labor and pricing: Enter preparation, post-processing, monitoring ratio, labor unit price, fixed costs, failure buffer, profit markup, and platform fees.
View result analysis: Click “Calculate and Next” to view material weight, actual cost, recommended price, estimated profit, and the proportion of each cost item.
Batch estimation: After entering the batch page, you can load examples, add projects, import a CSV template, and export the results as CSV after calculation.
Save settings: Frequently used material, electricity, labor, and depreciation parameters can be saved by clicking “Save Settings” and reused the next time you open the tool.

FAQ

A: If you already have slicer results, use sliced weight first. If you only have filament length, you can convert it based on filament diameter and density. If you only have model volume, you can make a budget estimate using infill density and shell ratio.

A: Divide the printer price by the expected usage hours. For example, if a 3500 yuan device is depreciated over 5000 hours, the depreciation is about 0.70 yuan/hour. You can also adjust it manually based on equipment maintenance conditions.

A: The failure buffer is used to cover risks such as filament runout, warping, nozzle clogging, support removal damage, and rework. For standard PLA, you can set it to 5%-10%; for complex structures, long prints, or flexible materials, you can increase it appropriately.

A: A job quote includes not only consumables, but also the time spent slicing, tuning settings, removing the print, removing supports, sanding, quality inspection, and communication. For small prints, material costs are relatively low, so labor costs often make up a larger proportion.

A: Differences usually come from actual material weight, support ratio, print failures, post-processing consumables, electricity price fluctuations, and equipment maintenance. We recommend keeping historical order data and gradually adjusting waste, labor, and depreciation parameters.
