Software Usage Instructions

Select the calculation target: In “Single Calculation,” choose the item to solve for: molar concentration, solute mass, solution volume, or molecular weight.
Enter known parameters: Based on the selected target, enter the other three parameters. Mass supports g, kg, mg, ug, lb, oz; volume supports L, mL, uL, m3, gal; concentration supports M, mM, uM, nM.
Enter molecular weight: You can enter the molecular weight manually, or enter a chemical formula and click “Parse,” such as NaCl, H2SO4, Ca(OH)2, CuSO4·5H2O.
Select common compounds: Search common compounds by name, chemical formula, or category. Click one to automatically fill in the chemical formula and molecular weight.
View calculation results: After clicking “Calculate,” the result, formula used, calculation steps, and reverse-check explanation will be displayed; some modes will generate reference steps for solution preparation.
Dilution calculation: Switch to “Dilution Conversion,” leave one parameter blank among C1, V1, C2, and V2, and the tool will calculate according to C1×V1=C2×V2 and indicate the volume of solvent to add.
Concentration unit conversion: Enter the concentration value, unit, molecular weight, density, and equivalent factor to convert between M, mM, uM, nM, ppm, ppb, mg/mL, ug/mL, percentage, and equivalent concentration.
Batch calculation: In “Batch Processing,” upload a CSV or paste CSV text, or manually edit the table. After calculation, you can download the result CSV; when importing multiple files, you can download them as a package.

Frequently Asked Questions

A: The commonly used formula is M=m/(MW×V), where M is the molar concentration, m is the solute mass, MW is the molecular weight, and V is the solution volume. The tool also supports rearranging this formula to solve for mass, volume, and molecular weight.

A: Common element symbols, numeric subscripts, parentheses, and hydrate notation are supported, such as H2SO4, Ca(OH)2, K2Cr2O7, and CuSO4·5H2O. After parsing, the molecular weight will be filled in automatically.

A: C1×V1=C2×V2 contains four variables, so the remaining variable can only be determined when three of them are known. If multiple parameters are left blank, the result will be indeterminate.

A: ppm can usually be interpreted as mg/L. When converting to mol/L, the solute molecular weight is needed to convert mass concentration into amount-of-substance concentration, so the molecular weight must be entered.

A: Enter molarity, mass, volume, or mw as the calculation type, representing calculation of molar concentration, mass, volume, and molecular weight, respectively. The corresponding column to solve for can be left blank; the other required parameters must be filled in with valid values.
