Software Usage Instructions

Set material parameters: First select the material type, such as plaster gypsum, lightweight plastering gypsum, or cement mortar, then set the calculation basis, reference consumption, density, design thickness, number of construction layers, and waste allowance.
Enter purchase parameters: Enter the package specification, material unit price, and recommended water ratio. The system will simultaneously estimate the number of bags to purchase, material cost, and water amount.
Perform a single calculation: Enter the construction area by wall length and height, room perimeter, or direct area, and fill in the area of doors, windows, and other openings. The tool will automatically deduct them and calculate the net construction area.
View calculation details: After clicking “Calculate Consumption,” you can view details such as gross area, deducted area, base consumption, correction factor, waste, total consumption, number of bags, and cost.
Batch summarize walls: In batch summary, enter one record per line. Two formats are supported: “Name,Length,Height,Number of Doors,Number of Windows,Other Openings” and “Name,Area.”
Export the purchase list: After batch calculation, the table displays the first 20 results. Click “Download Calculation Results CSV” to export all wall data and total results.
Save common settings: Click “Save Settings” to save parameters such as material, thickness, waste, and unit price for easier use next time.

FAQ

A: Reference consumption is suitable for materials with existing product instructions, such as how many kilograms are needed per square meter at a thickness of 10mm; the density-volume method is suitable for custom materials, estimating weight based on area, thickness, and density. If the packaging provides reference consumption, it is recommended to use that first.

A: A common thickness for leveling ordinary walls is 8-15mm. If the wall deviation is large, the thickness can be increased. If the single-layer thickness is relatively large, layered construction is recommended, and the thickness of each layer should be controlled according to the material instructions.

A: Enter 5%-8% when the wall is flat and the construction is skillful; about 10% for ordinary construction; and 12%-15% when the wall is rough, has many openings, or requires a large amount of leveling. Actual purchasing should also be adjusted according to product packaging and site conditions.

A: The dimension format is “Name,Length,Height,Number of doors,Number of windows,Other openings”, for example “Living room north wall,5.2,2.8,0,1,0”; the direct area format is “Name,Area”, for example “Master bedroom,32.6”. Enter one data item per line, with fields separated by English commas.

A: For single-item calculations, you can enter the quantity, width, and height of doors and windows separately; the batch dimension format uses the default door and window dimensions on the right to calculate the deducted area. Other openings, pipe shaft openings, etc. can be entered in the “Other openings” field.

A: Plaster usage is affected by wall flatness, substrate water absorption, construction method, material formula, opening treatment, and on-site loss. It is recommended to calibrate the reference usage according to the product instructions and adjust the parameters based on the consumption during the first section of construction.
