Software Usage Instructions

Set Parameters for Calculation: In “Parameter Calculation,” choose to calculate power, voltage, current, or resistance, then fill in parameters such as voltage, current, power, and resistance as prompted.
Select Circuit Type: You can choose DC, single-phase AC, or three-phase AC. For AC circuits, you can enter power factor and efficiency; for three-phase circuits, you can switch between line voltage/line current or phase voltage/phase current input.
Use Example Data: Click examples such as household electric water heater, three-phase motor, EV charging, PV module, UPS load, and cable selection to quickly load parameters and calculate.
View Calculation Results: The results area displays power, voltage, current, resistance, apparent power, reactive power, hourly energy consumption, and copper-core cable recommendations.
Estimate Electricity Costs: Go to “Electricity Cost Estimate,” set a fixed electricity rate or tiered electricity rate, and add device power, daily usage time, and quantity to calculate daily energy consumption, monthly energy consumption, monthly electricity cost, and annual electricity cost.
Batch Calculation: Go to “Batch & Records,” select a batch calculation type, and either manually enter data or import a CSV/TXT file. Each line is one set of data, with comma, tab, or semicolon delimiters supported.
Save and Export: You can save current settings, copy results, generate a share link, and export history; batch results support CSV download and can also be packaged as a ZIP file.

FAQ

A: For purely resistive loads, enter 1. For inductive loads such as motors and transformers, you can usually enter 0.8 to 0.95 based on the nameplate or documentation. The power factor affects active power and current estimates in AC circuits.

A: DC is usually calculated as P=U×I; single-phase AC is calculated as P=U×I×cosφ; three-phase AC is calculated as P=√3×U×I×cosφ. In three-phase mode, pay attention to how line voltage, phase voltage, line current, and phase current are entered.

A: If your data is line voltage and line current, simply select line voltage/line current. In a star connection, line voltage is √3 times the phase voltage, and line current equals phase current. In a delta connection, line voltage equals phase voltage, and line current is √3 times the phase current.

A: The tool calculates based on device power, usage time, quantity, and electricity rate. The actual bill may also be affected by peak/off-peak rates, tiered pricing rules, device start-stop cycles, voltage fluctuations, efficiency losses, and local billing methods.

A: Cable recommendations are provided based on the calculated current and reference current-carrying capacity, with a safety margin reserved. Installation also needs to be checked against the laying method, ambient temperature, line length, voltage drop, protective switch, and local codes.

A: Enter one set of data per line. You can write “Name,Value 1,Value 2” or simply “Value 1,Value 2”. Supported separators include English commas, Chinese commas, tabs, and semicolons. Please select the corresponding batch calculation type first.

A: History and saved settings are stored in local page storage on this device, so they can be quickly restored the next time you open the page. If you clear site data or switch devices, the saved content may no longer be accessible.
