Instructions
Software Usage Instructions
- Select a data source: You can use table input, paste data, or import a file. Table input is suitable for small amounts of data, pasted data is suitable for copying content from Excel or CSV, and file import supports CSV, TXT, XLSX, and XLS formats.
- Organize the data table:
- Category name: Enter the category name corresponding to each column or bar, such as month, product, or region.
- Data series: Multiple series can be added to create multi-group comparison charts.
- Color settings: For a single series, you can set a color for each category; for multiple series, you can set a color for each series.
- Set the chart structure:
- Chart orientation: Choose a vertical column chart or a horizontal bar chart.
- Series mode: Choose grouped display, stacked display, or percentage stacking.
- Sorting method: Keep the original order, or sort by total value in ascending or descending order.
- Display quantity: Show only the top 5, top 10, top 20, or top 30 items.
- Adjust style parameters:
- Chart size: Set the width and height to fit reports, PPT presentations, or web display.
- Text style: Set the title font size, label font size, category label angle, and number format.
- Display options: Control the title, legend, gridlines, value labels, and axis titles.
- Color and background: Choose a color scheme, or separately set the background, text, axis, and grid colors.
- Generate preview: Go to the “Generate & Export” step and click “Generate Preview” to view the chart. If changes are needed, return to the data or style step to continue adjusting.
- Export files: You can export PNG, JPG, SVG, and CSV. When multiple data files are selected, you can use “Batch ZIP” to generate a compressed package. The result file names will retain the original file names as much as possible, and numbers will be automatically added to distinguish duplicates.
- Save settings: Click “Save Settings” to save the current chart style and export parameters, making it easy to reuse the same configuration later.
FAQ
A: CSV, TXT, XLSX, and XLS files are supported. It is recommended to enter category names in the first column and values in the following columns. For single-series data, you can also use the three-column format “category, value, color”.
A: Grouped column charts are suitable for comparing multiple series side by side; stacked column charts are suitable for showing totals and the composition of each part; percentage stacking is suitable for comparing the proportional structure of different categories.
A: Choose a vertical column chart when category names are short and there are fewer categories; when category names are longer or there are many categories, a horizontal bar chart is usually easier to read.
A: PNG, JPG, SVG, and CSV export are supported. PNG is suitable for documents and presentations, JPG is suitable for general image use, SVG is suitable for scenarios that require scaling or post-editing, and CSV is used to save the current chart data.
A: During batch generation, the original data file name will be used as the result file name whenever possible. If files with the same name are encountered, numbers will be added to the file names to distinguish them, and they will be packaged into a ZIP file for download.
A: You can switch to a horizontal bar chart, increase the chart height appropriately, or use “Display Count” to show only key data such as the top 5, top 10, or top 20. You can also adjust the label angle and font size to improve readability.
A: You can increase the chart size, reduce the number of displayed categories, decrease the label font size, or turn off “Show Value Labels.” In stacked charts, when the value differences are small, turning off labels makes the chart cleaner.
