Software Usage Instructions
- Select conversion mode: Choose “Single Conversion” or “Batch Conversion.” Single conversion is suitable for quickly converting one temperature value, while batch conversion is suitable for processing multiple lines of temperature data at once.
- Enter the temperature value: Fill in the temperature to be converted in the input box. Positive numbers, negative numbers, decimals, and scientific notation are supported, such as 25, -40, 98.6, and 3.1015e2.
- Select the source unit and target unit: Source units support Celsius, Fahrenheit, Kelvin, and Rankine; the target unit is used for the main result display, and results for all units will be generated at the same time.
- Set display parameters: You can set display precision, number format, and copy format. Display precision controls the number of decimal places, and the copy format can be a text list or CSV table.
- Use sample data: Click “Sample Data” or the common temperature buttons to quickly fill in reference values such as the freezing point of water, room temperature, human body temperature, the boiling point of water, and baking temperatures.
- Start conversion: After clicking “Start Conversion, Go to Next Step,” the tool will generate the main result, results for all units, formula explanations, and copyable content.
- Copy or download results: You can click an individual result card to copy a single result, or copy all results; in batch mode, you can download a CSV file.
- Save settings: Click “Save Settings” to save the current unit, precision, and copy format for continued use next time.

A: Four temperature units are supported: Celsius (°C), Fahrenheit (°F), Kelvin (K), and Rankine (°R). You can convert between any two units and display results for all units at the same time.
A: The formula for converting Celsius to Fahrenheit is: °F = °C × 9 / 5 + 32; the formula for converting Fahrenheit to Celsius is: °C = (°F - 32) × 5 / 9. For example, 25°C equals 77°F, and -40°C equals -40°F.
A: Kelvin (K) is commonly used in physics, chemistry, lab records, and scientific calculations; Rankine (°R) is common in engineering thermodynamics, refrigeration, combustion, and some imperial engineering calculations. Both use the theoretical lower temperature limit as zero.
A: The theoretical lower temperature limit corresponds to 0K, 0°R, -273.15°C, and -459.67°F. In standard temperature conversion, input values below this limit are outside the conventional thermodynamic temperature range, so the tool will prompt you to check the value.

For lab and engineering records, more decimal places are recommended; for everyday use, 2 decimal places or smart precision is usually enough.
