Software Usage Instructions

Select OFD files: Click the “Choose File” button to select multiple OFD files to merge, or drag and drop files into the upload area.
Adjust file order: Use the move up, move down, or remove buttons in the file list to adjust the merge order. The list displays the first 20 files; files not shown will also be processed.
Set merge rules:
- Append in order: Merge pages sequentially according to the file list order.
- Alternate merge: Interleave and merge pages by page number from each file, suitable for comparison materials.
Set page range: You can choose all pages, a unified page range, or set ranges for each file. Page ranges support the “1-3,5,8-10” format. Enter “all” or leave blank to include all pages.
Configure output options: Enter the output file name, select the page size basis and download method; if you need to keep a record, you can check the option to generate a merge list.
Save settings: Click “Save Settings” to save commonly used merge parameters, which will be automatically restored for future use.
Start merging and download: After confirming the files and settings, proceed to the merge and download step, click “Start Merge”, and download the OFD file or ZIP package when complete.

FAQ

A: Append in order will first add all selected pages from file A, then all selected pages from file B; alternate merge will arrange them as page 1 of file A, page 1 of file B, page 2 of file A, page 2 of file B, and so on.

A: Page numbers start from 1. Enter “5” for a single page, “1-10” for consecutive pages, and separate multiple ranges with English commas, such as “1-3,5,8-10”. Enter “all” or leave blank to merge all pages.

A: Yes. Append in order mode generates pages strictly according to the file list order; alternate merge mode also takes pages in turn according to the list order, so it is recommended to confirm the file arrangement before processing.

A: The original file structure may be nonstandard, the file may be damaged, it may have encryption protection, the signature structure may be complex, or resource references may be abnormal. We recommend first confirming that the original OFD files can be opened normally, then reducing the number of files or retrying with the merge all pages option.

A: The tool will try to preserve page content, image resources, and font references. Because OFD file structures can vary, some special resources, signature information, or extension nodes may need to be reviewed with professional OFD software.

A: To keep the page clear, the file list only displays the first 20 files. Files that are not displayed will still be parsed and merged, and the result will be generated together after processing is complete.

A: If you need to save both the merged OFD file and the merge list, we recommend choosing ZIP package download. The list records the output file, merge method, number of files, and page order, making it easier to verify later.
