Software Usage Instructions

Configure conversion settings: First set the page range, page separator, line break format, output encoding, and text sorting method; leaving the page range empty means extracting all pages.
Select OFD files: Click the file selection area to import OFD documents. You can select one or multiple files; during batch processing, the interface shows the first 20 files, while all files will be included in processing.
Organize text content: Enable options such as removing empty lines, trimming leading and trailing spaces, and merging consecutive spaces as needed, making the TXT content easier to copy, search, and organize.
Start conversion: Click the “Start Conversion” button, and the tool will read the OFD page content and generate the TXT result.
Preview and download: For a single file, you can preview, copy, and download the TXT; for multiple files, TXT files will be generated using the original file names, duplicate names will automatically have numbers appended, and the results will be packaged as a ZIP for download.
Save settings: Common page separators, encodings, and text cleanup rules can be saved by clicking “Save Settings” and will be automatically applied the next time you use the tool.

FAQ

A: You can select “Sort by page position” in the text sorting method, and the tool will organize the content by text coordinates from top to bottom and left to right. If the original document has a special storage order, you can also switch to “Keep original order” for comparison.

A: Common reasons include the document content being scanned images, text being converted to graphics, file encryption, or a structure that does not conform to standard OFD specifications. Image-based OFD files need to be recognized with OCR first, then exported as editable text.

A: Enter page numbers in “Page Range”, for example, “3” means page 3, “1-5” means pages 1 to 5, and “1-3, 8, 10-12” means multiple page ranges. Page numbers start from 1; leave it empty to process all pages.

A: UTF-8 is recommended for everyday editing and system compatibility; if garbled text appears when opening the file with older spreadsheet software, try UTF-8 with BOM; to support some older Chinese systems or legacy software, choose GBK.

A: The output TXT will try to use the original OFD file name. If duplicate results occur, the tool will automatically add a number to the file name, such as “Invoice.txt” and “Invoice_1.txt”, to avoid overwriting files.

A: You can enable “Remove blank lines”, “Trim leading and trailing spaces”, and “Merge consecutive spaces”. These settings can be used together and are suitable for organizing content such as electronic invoices, contracts, and official documents.
