Software Usage Instructions

Confirm comparison rules: First, in “Comparison Settings,” select Full Comparison, A-B, B-A, Common Items, Merge and Deduplicate, Different Items, Duplicate Statistics, or Source Labeling.
Set parsing parameters: Choose per line, comma, Tab, semicolon, vertical bar, or a custom delimiter according to the data format, and set the sorting method, export format, and file encoding.
Configure ignore rules: You can choose to ignore leading and trailing spaces, ignore case, ignore empty items, merge consecutive whitespace, convert full-width to half-width, ignore punctuation, and deduplicate results.
Enter list content: Paste List A and List B in “Input List,” with each line or the selected delimiter treated as one item. You can also click “Load Sample Data” to quickly see the effect.
Select files in batch: If you need to process multiple text files such as TXT, CSV, or TSV, you can select or drag in files. The interface only displays the first 20 files, but all files will be included during processing.
Start processing: Go to “Process & Download,” click “Compare Text Boxes” to process pasted content, or click “Batch Process Files” to generate batch results.
View and download: After processing is complete, you can view A-only, B-only, common items, and statistics; individual results can be downloaded as TXT, CSV, or JSON, and batch results can be downloaded as a ZIP archive.

FAQ

A: A-B means items that exist only in List A and not in List B; B-A means items that exist only in List B and not in List A; common items means content contained in both lists.

A: A full comparison outputs items only in A, items only in B, items in both lists, merged and deduplicated items, and different items, while displaying the number of list items, common items, and different items.

A: If each line is a record, select “One item per line”; if you need to split by columns or fields, select comma, Tab, semicolon, vertical bar, or a custom delimiter. CSV content will be compared as text items.

A: They affect match detection. For example, after enabling ignore case, “Apple” and “apple” will be treated as the same item; after enabling ignore leading and trailing spaces, “Product A” and “ Product A ” will be treated as the same.

A: Pairwise comparison is suitable for analyzing differences between every two files; Compare the first file with the others is suitable when using the first file as a baseline; Merge all files and remove duplicates is suitable for organizing unique items across multiple files.

A: This is usually related to the file encoding. You can try selecting UTF-8, GB18030/GBK, Big5, or UTF-16 LE in “Comparison Settings”; if you are not sure about the encoding, use auto-detection first.

A: When comparing the baseline file with other files, the result will try to use the original name of the file being compared; pairwise comparison uses a combination of the two file names to make the source easy to identify. If duplicate names occur, a number is automatically added after the file name to distinguish them.
