Software Usage Instructions

Set formatting rules: First choose a preset for Chinese articles, web publishing, novel manuscripts, or plain text cleanup. You can also manually adjust first-line indentation, paragraph spacing, punctuation, space handling, full-width/half-width characters, and blank line handling.
Choose a processing mode: Single text mode is suitable for quickly formatting one pasted article; batch processing mode is suitable for selecting multiple TXT files at once and formatting them consistently.
Enter text or select files: In single text mode, you can paste content directly or load sample text to test the result; in batch mode, you can select multiple .txt or .text files.
Start formatting: After entering the “Process & Export” step, click “Start Formatting”. The tool will process the text according to the current settings and display statistics for formatted characters, Chinese characters, English letters, numbers, punctuation, paragraphs, and lines.
Export results: Single text results can be copied or downloaded as a TXT file; batch results will keep the original file names, automatically add numbers to distinguish duplicate names, and provide a ZIP archive for download.
Save settings: For commonly used formatting parameters, click “Save Settings”. They will be automatically loaded the next time you use the tool, making it suitable for fixed writing or document organization workflows.

FAQ

A: Chinese articles and novel manuscripts commonly use “2 Chinese characters”; web content can use “no indentation” or “2 half-width spaces”; technical documents and code explanation text are recommended to use no indentation.

A: The tool protects half-width periods between numbers and English letters, reducing cases where content like 3.14 or A.I. is mistakenly converted into Chinese periods. For content containing code or a large amount of English, you can choose “Do not convert”.

A: It is suitable for articles that have been split into multiple lines after being copied from PDFs, web pages, or old documents. For content that needs to preserve line breaks, such as poems, dialogue, tables of contents, lists, and code, it is recommended to turn this option off.

A: By default, they remain the same as the original TXT file names. If multiple files have the same name, the system will add numbers such as _2 and _3 after the file name to prevent files in the archive from overwriting each other.

A: Statistics include total characters, Chinese characters, English letters, numbers, punctuation marks, paragraph count, and line count. They can be used to check article length, paragraph structure, and changes before and after formatting.

A: No. Text reading, formatting, statistics, and ZIP packaging are all completed on the current device, and file content will not be submitted to the server.
