Software Usage Instructions

Configure cleanup rules: Go to “Cleanup Settings” and first select newline handling, whitespace handling, output format, and batch file naming rules.
Select the content to remove:
- Remove script content: Clear code content such as script, noscript, and template.
- Remove style content: Clear style tag content and inline style attributes.
- Remove HTML comments: Clean up comment content in the source code.
- Additional selectors to remove: You can enter selectors such as .ad, #footer, and nav to delete specified sections.
Set content to keep:
- Keep link URLs: Convert links to the “text [URL]” format.
- Keep image descriptions: Extract image alt, title, or file names as text prompts.
- Keep specified tags: Enter tag names such as a, strong, em, and br to preserve part of the HTML structure.
- Decode HTML entities: Convert entities such as  , <, and & into readable characters.
Import HTML content: Go to “Import Content” to paste HTML code directly, or select html, htm, txt, xml, xhtml, or shtml files in bulk.
Use sample data: Choose an article page, table snippet, or mixed code example to quickly view the cleanup result.
Start processing: Go to “Processing Results” and click “Remove HTML Tags” to generate the result.
Copy and download: Individual results can be copied or downloaded; after batch processing, you can download a ZIP archive, and duplicate file names will automatically have numbers appended to distinguish them.

FAQ

A: Yes. Select “Smartly Preserve Paragraph Line Breaks” under “Newline Handling,” and the tool will convert structures such as p, div, br, li, and tr into line breaks, making the result easier to read.

A: After checking “Keep Link URLs,” links will be converted to the “link text [URL]” format, suitable for organizing materials, archiving web content, or exporting text.

A: By default, they remain the same as the original file names. If duplicate file names are found in the archive, numbers will be automatically appended to distinguish them; you can also choose to add a custom suffix.

A: Text-based files such as html, htm, txt, xml, xhtml, and shtml are supported. When selecting multiple files in batch, the interface only displays the first 20, but all files will be processed.

A: HTML entities are characters represented by code, such as  , <, and &. When decoding is enabled, they are converted to the corresponding characters; when disabled, the original entity notation is preserved.

A: Enter the tag names you want to keep in the “Keep tags” input box, separated by English commas, for example a,strong,em,br. If left blank, tags will be removed as plain text.

Answer: You can switch between UTF-8 or GB18030 / GBK in “File Encoding” and process it again. If the original file uses a special encoding, it is recommended to first convert it to a common encoding using a text editor.
