Software Usage Instructions

Select document files: Click the upload area or drag PDF or DOCX files into the tool. You can select multiple files at once; the interface only displays the first 20, but all files will be processed.
Set content to remove: Choose to remove headers, footers, or both; you can set all pages, first page only, starting from page 2, or a custom page range.
Configure PDF parameters: PDF supports three methods: masking the header/footer area, cropping the visible page area, or masking and cropping; you can set the header height, footer height, unit, and mask color.
Configure DOCX cleanup: DOCX cleanup removes header and footer references, relationship files, and related XML parts from the document, while preserving the body content.
Save settings: For frequently used parameters, click “Save settings” to automatically fill them in the next time you open the tool.
Start processing: Go to the pre-check processing page to confirm the files and parameters, click Start processing, and download the ZIP archive after completion.

FAQ

A: Masking covers the top or bottom area of the page with the specified color without changing the page size; cropping changes the visible area of the PDF and is suitable for removing headers and footers in fixed margins.

A: DOCX headers and footers are stored in separate XML parts, and the body references them through relationships. Cleaning up references and parts makes the document structure cleaner and reduces residual content.

A: Yes. PDF supports all pages, first page only, starting from page 2, and custom page ranges, such as 1-3,5,8. DOCX cleans up header and footer references according to the document structure.

A: The processing result will try to preserve the original file name. If a duplicate name is encountered, a number will be automatically added after the file name, such as report(2).pdf, to prevent files in the ZIP archive from overwriting each other.

A: This means the header or footer area height is set too large. Please reduce the top or bottom value, or use a custom page number range. Test the settings with a small number of files first before batch processing.
