Software Usage Instructions

Select items to compress: Click “Select Files” to choose multiple files at once; click “Select Folder” to choose a directory containing multiple files or subfolders; you can also load sample data first to view the process.
Confirm the grouping method:
- Smart separate compression: Multiple files are each generated as separate ZIP files, and folders are generated as separate ZIP files by first-level item.
- Compress each file separately: Package each selected file separately.
- Compress each root folder: Generate ZIP files grouped by root directory, suitable for directory archiving.
Set compression and naming: Select the ZIP compression level, enter the combined download file name, and enable “Keep item root directory” as needed. You can enter file names or wildcard rules for items that do not need to be packaged in the exclusion rules.
Configure password mode:
- No password: Generate regular ZIP files.
- Fixed password: Use the same password for all individual ZIP files.
- Random password: Generate a different password for each individual ZIP file, with configurable length and character types.
Select encryption method: You can choose AES-256, AES-192, AES-128, or ZipCrypto compatibility mode. If compatibility with older extraction environments is required, choose ZipCrypto.
Start processing and download: Go to the “Process Download” page, confirm the number of files, number of individual ZIP files, and password mode, then click “Start Compression”. After processing is complete, click “Download All Results” to save the combined ZIP; if passwords are enabled, you can copy or download the password list.

FAQ

A: No. The tool only reads the files you select and generates a new ZIP result package. The original files will not be modified, deleted, or overwritten.

A: In smart separate compression mode, first-level files inside the folder are packaged separately, and first-level subfolders are packaged by folder group. You can also switch to compress each file separately or compress by root folder.

A: The generated results will preserve the original project names as much as possible. If duplicate names occur, the system will append a numeric suffix to the file name to prevent ZIP files from overwriting each other.

A: A fixed password is suitable when all archives use the same access password; random passwords are suitable when each archive is distributed separately. After processing, a list will be generated for easy copying, downloading, and saving.

A: AES encryption is suitable for common modern extraction software; ZipCrypto offers broader compatibility and is suitable for archives that need to be opened in older environments. Choose based on the recipient’s software environment.

A: To keep the page clear, the project preview only shows the first 20 items. Items not displayed will still be processed, and the downloaded summary ZIP will include all successfully generated individual ZIP files.

A: You can try lowering the compression level, processing files in batches, reducing the size selected at one time, or using exclusion rules to skip temporary files. If some files are being used by other programs, close those programs before processing again.
