Software Usage Instructions

Select file source: Click the “Select Multiple Files” or “Select Folder” button to add files to be filtered, or drag and drop files into the selection area. To try the workflow, click “Load Sample Data”.
Set size criteria: In “Filter Settings”, choose between two sizes, greater than or equal to, less than or equal to, or equal to a specified size, and select B, KB, MB, GB, or TB as the unit.
Configure matching rules:
- Subdirectories: Choose whether to include files in subdirectories.
- Extensions: You can choose not to filter extensions, or only include or exclude specified extensions.
- Filename keywords: Set keywords that filenames should include or exclude, separated by commas.
- Special files: Choose whether to allow 0-byte files, dot-prefixed files, and whether filenames are case-sensitive.
Set output options:
- Result sorting: Supports keeping the original order, sorting by size, sorting by filename, or sorting by path.
- ZIP directory structure: Choose to keep filenames only, or preserve relative paths.
- ZIP compression method: Choose standard compression or fast packaging.
- Download filename: Customize the generated ZIP file name.
Start processing: Click the “Next: Start Processing” or “Filter Again” button, and the tool will scan files according to your settings and generate results.
Preview and download: The results area displays the first 20 matching files by default; if there are more than 20 matches, the ZIP download will still include all eligible files. Click “Next: Download ZIP” to save the results.

FAQ

A: No. File reading, filtering, and packaging are all completed on your current device. The server will not receive your file contents.

A: To keep the page responsive and the list clear, the interface only displays the first 20 files. All eligible files will be included in the packaged download and will not be omitted just because they are not displayed.

A: The original file name is kept by default. If files with the same name appear in the ZIP, the tool automatically adds a number after the file name, such as report(2).pdf or report(3).pdf, to avoid overwriting each other.

A: Yes. For example, when set from 1MB to 50MB, files with a size equal to 1MB or 50MB will also be included in the results.

A: In "Match Rules", uncheck "Include files in subdirectories". The tool will skip files in subfolders and only keep files in the root directory of the selected folder for filtering.

A: Check whether the size unit is selected correctly and broaden the size range as needed. Also confirm that the extension, file name keywords, exclusion words, and subdirectory options are not filtering out the target files.

Answer: When there are many files or a single file is large, filtering and ZIP generation will consume memory and computing resources. It is recommended to process files in batches, or select “Quick packaging” in the output settings.

Answer: Binary conversion is used by default, i.e., 1KB=1024B, which is suitable for common file management scenarios. If you need to calculate according to the display method used by hard drive manufacturers or some systems, you can choose decimal conversion, i.e., 1KB=1000B.
