Software Usage Instructions

Select TIFF image files: Click the “Select TIFF Files” button and choose the TIF or TIFF images you want to convert. You can select multiple files at once, and multi-page TIFF files can be exported by page.
Set the output format:
- JPG/JPEG: Suitable for photos, scanned document previews, and everyday sharing. Compression quality can be set.
- PNG: Suitable for images that need sharp edges or transparent backgrounds.
- WebP: Suitable for web images that require file size control. Compression quality can be set.
- BMP: Suitable for processing scenarios that require bitmap files.
- GIF: Suitable for exporting static GIF images.
Configure conversion parameters:
- Output quality: Used for JPG and WebP formats. The higher the value, the clearer the image, but the larger the file size.
- Size handling: Keep the original size, set maximum width and height, specify width and height, or scale by percentage.
- Transparent area background: When the output format does not support transparency, you can choose a background fill color.
- Multi-page TIFF: Export all pages or only the first page.
- ZIP compression level: Choose different levels based on processing speed and compressed file size.
Save settings: Click the “Save Settings” button to save commonly used output formats, quality, size, and batch options.
Start conversion: After confirming the parameters, click “Start Conversion,” and the tool will process all selected TIFF files according to the settings.

FAQ

A: TIFF is commonly used for scanned documents, original photography files, print materials, and image archiving. It can preserve high-quality image information, but the file size is usually large, and compatibility on some platforms is not as good as JPG, PNG, and WebP.

A: For multi-page TIFF files, you can choose to export all pages or only the first page. When exporting all pages, page numbers are automatically added to the file names, such as document_page-001.jpg and document_page-002.jpg.

A: JPG is suitable for photos and scanned document previews, with smaller file sizes; PNG is suitable for preserving transparent backgrounds or sharp edges; WebP is suitable for controlling file size while maintaining visual quality. Choose the appropriate format based on how the image will be used.

A: For web display or everyday sharing, set it to 75% to 85%; to preserve more detail, set it to 85% to 95%. The higher the quality value, the larger the output file usually is.

A: The TIFF format includes various compression methods, color modes, and bit depths. A small number of specially encoded, corrupted, or extremely large images may not be parsed correctly. Try exporting only the first page, reducing the output size, or resaving the file with image software before processing it again.

A: By default, the original file name is kept, and only the extension is replaced with the target format. If duplicate names occur, numbers are automatically added after the file name to distinguish them; page numbers are added for multi-page TIFF files for easier sequential management.

A: Transparent areas can be preserved when outputting as PNG or WebP. When outputting as JPG, BMP, or GIF, transparent areas will be filled with the set background color; a common practice is to fill them with a white background.
