Upscaling algorithms estimate new pixels from the original image, ideal for enlarging, smoothing edges, and reducing slight blur. If the original is badly out of focus, use a lower scale and add sharpening.

Software Usage Instructions

Select image files: Click the upload area to select images, or drag and drop images into the upload area. Common formats such as JPG, PNG, WebP, and BMP are supported, and you can select multiple images at once.
Select an image type preset: Choose Photo Enhancement, Illustration/Anime, or Text/Charts based on the image content. The tool will automatically adjust the algorithm, sharpening, and noise reduction parameters.
Set the enlargement method:
- Scale enlargement: Choose 1.5x, 2x, 3x, or 4x.
- Specify width and height: Enter the target width or height. If only one is entered, the other side will be calculated according to the original image ratio.
Select a processing algorithm:
- Lanczos: Suitable for photos and images with many details.
- Bicubic: Suitable for most everyday images, with a balanced speed and result.
- Bilinear: Faster processing, suitable for quick previews.
- Nearest Neighbor: Suitable for pixel art, icons, and other images that require hard edges.
Adjust enhancement parameters: Set sharpening strength, noise reduction strength, output format, and output quality. PNG is suitable for transparent backgrounds, JPEG for photos, and WebP for web assets.
Start processing and download: Click “Start Enlarging” and wait for processing to finish. A single image can be downloaded directly, while multiple images will be packaged as a ZIP file for download.

FAQ

A: For photos and detailed images, Lanczos is recommended; for ordinary images, choose Bicubic; when fast processing is needed, choose Bilinear; for pixel art, icons, and other images that need to preserve hard edges, choose Nearest Neighbor.

A: For photos, use 20%-35% sharpening and 10%-20% noise reduction; for illustrations, reduce the noise reduction strength; for text screenshots, increase sharpening appropriately. Parameters that are too high may make edges look harsh or create graininess, so it is recommended to test with one image first.

A: Yes. After selecting multiple images, the page only displays the first 20 files for confirmation, but all selected images will be included during processing. When finished, you can download a ZIP archive.

A: The original file names are kept by default, with only the extension changed according to the output format. If multiple files have the same name, the tool automatically adds a number to the end of the file name to distinguish them. You can also choose to add the _upscaled suffix.

A: Image upscaling uses memory and computing resources. Try lowering the upscale factor, switching to the bicubic or bilinear algorithm, reducing the number of images processed at once, or processing images in batches.

A: PNG is suitable for transparent backgrounds, screenshots, and design files; JPEG is suitable for photos and images that need a smaller file size; WebP is suitable for web assets and scenarios that need a balance between file size and image quality.
