Software Usage Instructions

Select image files: Click the “Select Images” area, or drag and drop images onto the page. Batch selection of common image formats such as JPG, PNG, WEBP, BMP, GIF, TIFF, AVIF, ICO, and SVG is supported.
Check the image list: The tool will display thumbnails, file names, and sizes for the first 20 images; if more files are selected, the remaining files will still be processed.
Set conversion parameters:
- Encoding and quality: Choose lossy compression or a near-lossless preference, and adjust the WEBP output quality.
- Size settings: Keep the original size, limit the maximum width and height, or specify fixed width and height.
- Fit method: When using fixed width and height, choose proportional fit with padding, proportional crop to fill, or stretch to fill.
- Transparent background: Keep the transparency channel, or fill transparent areas with a specified background color.
- Output naming: Set a file name prefix and suffix; duplicate file names will automatically be distinguished with numbers.
Save settings: Click “Save Settings” to keep the current parameters and automatically apply them next time.
Start conversion: Go to the “Process & Download” step and click “Start Converting to WEBP”; the tool will batch process the images using the current settings.
Download results: After conversion is complete, you can view result statistics and partial previews, then click “Download All Results ZIP” to get the packaged file.

FAQ

A: Common formats such as JPG, PNG, WEBP, BMP, GIF, TIFF, AVIF, ICO, and SVG are supported. The rendering of some formats may depend on the current device environment.

A: Lossy compression is suitable for website images, product images, and content publishing, and you can control file size and clarity with the quality parameter; a near-lossless preference is suitable for icons, transparent images, and images with high detail requirements, but the output size is usually larger.

A: Proportional fit with padding preserves the full image and may leave blank edges; proportional crop to fill fills the target size and may crop edge content; stretch to fill forces the image to match the width and height, which may distort it.

A: When “Preserve transparency” is selected, the original image’s alpha channel will be preserved as much as possible. When “Fill with background color” is selected, transparent areas will be replaced with the selected color, which is suitable for scenarios that require opaque images.

A: By default, the original filename is retained and the extension is changed to .webp. You can manually add a prefix or suffix; if an output filename is duplicated, the tool will automatically append a number to the filename.

A: This is usually related to the original image content, alpha channel, quality settings, and size settings. You can lower the quality, limit the maximum width and height, or enable “Keep the original file if the converted file is larger.”
