Software Usage Instructions

Select image files: Click the select button, or drag JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, SVG, BMP, AVIF, and other images into the upload area. Selecting multiple files at once is supported.
Use sample data: Click the photo sample, web image, transparent layer, or mixed sample to quickly test the compression effect and batch processing workflow.
Select a compression mode:
- Lossless first: Preserves image pixels, prioritizes removing JPG metadata, performs lossless pixel re-encoding for PNG, and keeps GIF animation by default.
- Balanced compression: Re-encodes images based on quality settings, suitable for scenarios where you need to reduce file size while preserving visual quality.
- Format conversion: Output images as WebP, JPG, or PNG, suitable for unifying asset formats.
Configure processing parameters:
- Output format: Keep the original format, or convert to WebP, JPG, or PNG.
- JPG/WebP quality: Controls re-encoding quality. Higher values preserve more image detail.
- Target size KB: After entering a value, the tool will try to compress JPG or WebP to around the specified size.
- Size limit: Limit the output image width or height while scaling proportionally.
- EXIF options: Choose to remove JPG metadata or preserve JPG EXIF information.
- Keep original if larger: If the compressed result is larger, the original file is used automatically.
Start compression: Click the “Start Compression” button, and the tool will process all images in the queue. The interface only displays the first 20 files; the remaining files will still be processed.
Download results: After processing is complete, click “Download ZIP” to download all results as a package. Output file names use the original file names by default; if duplicates occur, numbers are automatically added after the file names.

FAQ

A: Lossless first focuses on preserving the original pixels and is suitable for images with high quality requirements; balanced compression re-encodes based on quality settings and is suitable for reducing the size of photos and web images; format conversion is suitable for outputting various images uniformly as WebP, JPG, or PNG.

A: If the original image has already been compressed, or if the PNG or WebP encoding is already compact, the amount of space that can be reduced may be limited. After enabling “Keep original when larger,” the tool will automatically keep the original file when the output size becomes larger.

A: EXIF may contain information such as the shooting device, time, and orientation. Choose “Keep JPG EXIF” when you need to retain shooting information; for web display, asset publishing, or reducing file size, you can choose to remove JPG metadata.

A: By default, the original GIF animation file will be preserved. If you choose format conversion, set a maximum size, or disable “Keep GIF animation,” the GIF may be converted to a static image.

A: When keeping the original format, the original filename will be used; when converting formats, the original filename stem will be kept and the extension replaced. If duplicate filenames occur, a number will be added after the filename, such as photo.jpg or photo-2.jpg.

A: Target size is suitable for scenarios with file size requirements, such as avatars, product images, and ID upload images. This parameter mainly takes effect for JPG and WebP, and the tool will try to get close to the target size within the set quality range.
