Software Usage Instructions

Add PNG images: Click the “Select PNG Images” button to import files, or drag and drop PNG images into the tool area. Batch selection is supported. The interface displays the first 20 files, but all files will be included during processing.
View file previews: After importing, you can view the number of files, original size, thumbnails, and dimension information. To try the feature, click “Load Sample Images”.
Select a compression preset:
- High-fidelity optimization: Preserves more colors and details, suitable for screenshots, product images, and similar materials.
- Balanced compression: Balances file size and visual quality, suitable for icons, logos, and UI assets.
- Small size priority: Reduces the number of colors and can be used with resizing, suitable for scenarios with strict file size requirements.
Configure compression parameters:
- Color count optimization: Choose target color counts such as 256 colors, 128 colors, 64 colors, or 32 colors.
- Resize: Supports processing by percentage, limiting the long side, specifying width, specifying height, or specifying both width and height.
- Transparency and background: You can preserve the PNG transparent background, or composite transparent areas onto a specified background color.
- Output control: The original file name is preserved by default. If duplicate names occur, a number will be appended to the file name.
Save settings: Click “Save Settings” to keep the current parameters and automatically restore them the next time you open the tool.
Start processing: Go to the “Process & Download” page, click “Start Compressing PNG Images”, and wait for the progress to complete.
Download results: After processing is complete, you can preview the results, view the saved space, and download images individually or click “Download All Results (ZIP)” to save them in bulk.

FAQ

A: For logos, icons, and solid-color images, try 32 or 64 colors; for screenshots and UI assets, choose 128 colors; for PNGs with more detail, 256 colors is recommended to preserve more gradation.

A: The transparent background is preserved by default. If “Preserve Transparency” is turned off, the tool will composite transparent areas onto the selected background color, which is suitable for images that no longer need an alpha channel.

A: If the original image has already been compressed, or if it contains a lot of complex detail, there may be little room for further compression. You can try reducing the number of colors, limiting the long-edge size, or leaving the original image unchanged.

A: Processed results use the original file names by default. If multiple files have the same name, the tool will append numbers to the file name, such as image.png, image2.png, image3.png.

A: When a PNG image is significantly larger than its actual display size, it is recommended to limit the long edge or scale it down proportionally. This reduces the number of pixels and is helpful for web assets, screenshots, and e-commerce images.

A: You can enable “Keep the original file if the processed result is larger.” If the dimensions and transparent background are not changed, the tool will automatically keep the smaller original file to avoid increasing the output file size.
