Software Usage Instructions

Select images: Click the “Select Images” area to upload images, or drag multiple images into the upload area. Common image formats such as JPG, PNG, WebP, BMP, and GIF are supported.
Check the image list: After uploading, thumbnails, file names, and sizes of the first 20 images will be displayed. Images beyond 20 will not all be shown, but they will still be processed together.
Set background detection:
- Automatic edge sampling: Suitable for images with a relatively uniform background color and the subject located in the center of the image.
- Four-corner background sampling: Suitable for product images, ID photos, and avatars where all four corners belong to the background area.
- Specify background color: Suitable for images with a white background, solid-color background, or images that require manually specifying the background color.
- Background detection sensitivity: The higher the value, the larger the background removal area. Lower it appropriately if the subject edges are accidentally removed.
Adjust edge effects:
- Edge feathering: Makes subject edges softer, suitable for images with hair, fabric, soft-light edges, etc.
- Edge defringe: Reduces remaining background edges, suitable for white-background images, light-background images, and product images.
- Edge cleanup: Reduces the influence of the background color on the subject edges, making the output edges cleaner.
Set output parameters:
- Output format: PNG and WebP support transparent backgrounds, while JPG outputs an opaque background.
- Output background: You can choose transparent, white, black, or a custom color.
- Output size: You can keep the original size, or choose a square, landscape, portrait, or custom width and height.
- Automatically crop transparent edges: Removes excess transparent areas around the subject and can keep an appropriate margin.
- PNG output DPI: Can be set to 72-600DPI according to printing or layout needs.
Process and download: Click “Start Removing Background” to process all images. After processing is complete, you can preview the first 6 results, download individual images, or click “Download All ZIP” to download them as a package.
Save settings: For commonly used parameters, click “Save Settings” to continue using the current configuration the next time you open the tool.

FAQ

A: It is suitable for images with a clear subject, a relatively uniform background color, and an obvious difference between the subject and the background, such as product images, avatars, ID photos, logo assets, and simple scene images. If the background is too complex or the subject edges are close to the background color, it is recommended to lower the sensitivity and increase edge feathering.

A: When the background is simple, you can increase the sensitivity to remove it more thoroughly. When the background is complex or the subject’s edges are easily removed by mistake, you can lower the sensitivity. We recommend processing one preview with the default value first, then fine-tuning it based on the result.

A: PNG is suitable for preserving transparent backgrounds and sharp edges; WebP has a smaller file size and also supports transparent backgrounds; JPG does not support transparent backgrounds and is suitable for exporting images with a white background, black background, or custom background color.

A: Residual color usually comes from reflections, shadows, or compression artifacts from the original background along the subject’s edges. You can try enabling edge decontamination, increasing the edge purification ratio, and appropriately increasing the feathering value. If the subject is removed by mistake, you need to lower the background detection sensitivity.

A: Output files will keep the original file names and replace the extension according to the selected format. If duplicate output names appear in a batch, the system will automatically add a number after the file name to avoid overwriting.

A: Automatic cropping removes extra transparent space around the subject, making the subject fit the canvas more closely. It is suitable for creating product assets, sticker assets, and avatar assets. If you need a uniform size, you can turn off cropping and use a fixed output size.

A: A large number of images will use more memory and computing resources. It is recommended to process large batches of images in groups, confirm the settings with a small number of images first, and then process the entire set of files. For very large images, you can first select an appropriate output size to improve processing speed.
