Software Usage Instructions

Select PDF files: Click the “Select PDF Files” button and choose one or more PDF documents to process. When selecting in batches, the interface only displays the first 20 files, but all files will be included during processing.
Select the merge layout: In the merge settings, choose common layouts such as 4-in-1, 6-in-1, 8-in-1, or 9-in-1, or manually set the number of pages, rows, and columns to merge per page.
Configure page parameters:
- Output paper: Choose A4 portrait, A4 landscape, A3, Letter, use the source page size, or automatically enlarge based on the grid.
- Margins and page spacing: Control the blank space between small pages, suitable for printing, previewing, and organizing materials.
- Page range: Enter formats such as 1-8,10,12- to process only specified pages; leave blank to process all pages.
Set display mode: Choose proportional full display or stretch to fill the cell, and enable page borders, original page number labels, and basic information insertion if needed.
Start processing: After confirming the settings, click “Start Merging PDF Pages”. The tool will process the selected PDF files one by one and display progress and logs.
Download results: After processing is complete, you can download each PDF result individually, or click “Download All Results ZIP” to save all files at once. By default, the output file name matches the original file name; if duplicate names occur, numbers will be added automatically to distinguish them.

FAQ

A: It is suitable for printing handouts, organizing meeting materials, thumbnail overviews, previewing courseware, checking contract attachments, and more. By placing multiple pages on one page, you can view the overall structure more conveniently.

A: 4-in-1 means placing 4 original PDF pages on each output page, 6-in-1 means placing 6 pages, and 9-in-1 means placing 9 pages. The more pages combined, the smaller each page’s content will be. Choose based on your reading and printing needs.

A: Single pages, continuous ranges, and mixed formats are supported. For example, 1,3,5-8 means processing pages 1, 3, and 5 through 8; 12- means processing from page 12 to the last page of the document; leaving it blank means processing all pages.

A: No. Each PDF will be imposed independently across multiple pages and generate its corresponding output file. After batch processing is complete, you can download all results together using the ZIP button.

A: By default, the original PDF file name is kept unchanged. If multiple results have the same name, the system will automatically add a number after the file name, such as Document_2.pdf or Document_3.pdf, to make them easy to distinguish.

A: PDF page imposition needs to read the page structure, embed pages, and regenerate the document. Larger files, more pages, or more complex layouts consume more memory and computing resources, so processing in batches is recommended.
