Software Usage Instructions

Set conversion parameters: First go to “Conversion Parameters” and select the output format, image quality, background fill color, and size handling method.
Select HEIC files: Go to “Select Files,” click the upload area, or drag and drop HEIC/HEIF images. Batch selection is supported. The interface displays the first 20 files, and the remaining files will be converted together during processing.
Adjust size options:
- Keep original size: Do not change the image width or height.
- Limit maximum width and height: Scale down the image proportionally according to the set width and height.
- Specify width and height: Choose full display, crop to fill, or stretch.
- Scale by percentage: Scale the image down or up proportionally.
Save settings: Click “Save Settings” to keep the current format, quality, size, ZIP file name, and other parameters.
Start conversion: Go to “Result Download” and click “Start Conversion.” The tool will process all files one by one and display progress and logs.
Download results: After conversion is complete, you can download the ZIP archive; if only one image was processed, you can also download the single result directly.

FAQ

A: HEIC and HEIF are supported as input formats; JPG/JPEG, PNG, and WebP are supported as output formats. JPG is suitable for sharing photos, PNG is suitable for images that need a transparent background, and WebP is suitable for website assets and file size control.

A: JPG and WebP support quality adjustment. For photo archiving, choose 85%-95%; for document uploads, choose 70%-85%; if you need a smaller file size, you can lower it further. PNG is a lossless output format, so no quality parameter is displayed.

A: The converted results will keep the original file names and replace the extensions. For example, IMG_001.HEIC will be output as IMG_001.jpg. If files with the same name are encountered, numbers will be automatically added after the file name to avoid overwriting.

A: No. Image reading, format conversion, resizing, and ZIP packaging are all completed on the current device. The server will not receive your original images or converted results.

A: Common causes include file corruption, a mismatch between the file extension and the actual format, excessively large images, insufficient device memory, or a HEIC encoding type that is not supported by the current decoding component. Try processing in batches or reducing the output size.

A: Original metadata is not retained by default. This reduces additional information in the output file, such as the capture device, location, and time, and also helps control file size.
