Software Usage Instructions

Set randomization rules: First configure the camera brand, model, lens, ISO, aperture, focal length, shooting time range, and GPS mode. Fields left blank will be randomly generated within reasonable ranges.
Select image files: Click the "Select images" area or drag and drop images to import them. Common formats such as JPG, JPEG, PNG, WebP, BMP, GIF, TIF, and TIFF are supported. When importing in bulk, the interface displays the first 20 files, but all files will be included during processing.
View random preview: After entering the processing and download step, you can view examples of the randomly generated camera, lens, time, exposure, and GPS data for this run, or click to refresh the random preview.
Save common settings: Click "Save settings" to save the current parameters and automatically restore them next time, suitable for batch tasks with a fixed brand, fixed coordinate range, or fixed output quality.
Start writing EXIF: Click "Start writing EXIF", and the tool will independently generate metadata for each image. JPG files will have EXIF information written directly, while other formats will be converted to JPG before writing.
Download processed results: After processing is complete, click "Download all results ZIP". Output file names will match the original files as closely as possible, and numbers will be automatically added to distinguish duplicate names.

FAQ

A: Common image formats such as JPG, JPEG, PNG, WebP, BMP, GIF, TIF, and TIFF are supported. EXIF information can be written to JPG files, while other formats will be converted to JPG before metadata is written.

A: Yes. The tool includes built-in brand data for Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, Apple, Samsung, and more. Each image will independently receive randomly generated information such as camera model, lens, focal length, aperture, shutter speed, and ISO.

A: Yes. GPS mode supports three options: random city coordinates, coordinates near a custom location, and no GPS writing. Custom coordinates allow you to set latitude, longitude, and a variation range, so batch images can generate location data close to the same area.

A: By default, the original file name will be preserved as much as possible. If multiple output files have duplicate names, the tool will automatically add numbers to the file names to distinguish them; you can also choose to add the _exif suffix to make them easier to distinguish from the original images.

A: By default, newly generated EXIF information will be written. If "Preserve readable original fields" is checked, the tool will try to read the existing EXIF from the original image, then overwrite the fields involved in the current settings.

A: When writing EXIF to JPG, the original image data will be preserved as much as possible. Formats such as PNG, WebP, BMP, GIF, and TIFF need to be converted to JPG. You can choose the output quality in the settings to balance clarity and file size.
