Software Usage Instructions

Set detection rules: After entering the tool, first choose the detection strictness. You can use Normal, Strict, or Lenient mode, and enable file header recognition, image loading validation, size checking, end marker checking, PNG CRC verification, and secondary confirmation as needed.
Set the export target: Choose to export corrupted images, normal images, or all images. During batch export, the original file names will be preserved, and numbers will be automatically appended to distinguish duplicate file names.
Import image files: Click “Select Images” to select files in batches, or choose a folder or drag and drop images. The list only displays the first 20 files; the remaining files will still be included in detection.
Start detection: After clicking “Start Detection”, the tool will read the image structure, verify the loading status, and generate detection results in sequence. You can click stop detection during processing.
View detection results: The results page will display the number detected, the number normal, the number corrupted, and the number of warnings. You can click details to view the detection items for each file.
Download results: You can download a CSV detection report, or download a ZIP archive according to the selected filter target.
Save settings: For commonly used detection parameters, click “Save Settings”; they will be automatically loaded the next time you open the tool.

A: The tool evaluates image integrity by combining results such as file header format, image loading status, width and height dimensions, JPEG end marker, and PNG CRC verification. If any key check fails, it will be marked as corrupted or warning.

A: Normal mode is suitable for everyday image organization; Strict mode applies stricter judgment to issues such as missing end markers and mismatched file extensions; Lenient mode focuses on whether the image can be loaded and displayed normally.

A: Some image viewers are fault-tolerant and can display images with incomplete endings or abnormal structures. The tool flags these potential issues to help you identify risks before archiving, organizing assets, or batch delivery.

A: Common image formats such as JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, BMP, WebP, TIF, and TIFF are supported. The tool identifies the actual format based on the file header, not just the extension.

A: When exporting a ZIP, the original file names are kept whenever possible. If duplicates occur, a number is appended to the file name, such as photo.jpg, photo_1.jpg, photo_2.jpg, to prevent files from overwriting each other.

A: Checking a large number of images uses memory and processor resources. We recommend processing them in batches and reducing the number of files selected at once. If you only care whether the images can be opened, you can use relaxed mode to improve processing speed.

A: The CSV report includes the file name, detection status, identified format, width, height, file size, issue summary, and warning information, making it easy to filter, record, and archive later.
