Supports single and batch GIF speed changes. Adjust animation speed by multiplier, frame delay, or target FPS. Only the first 20 batch files are shown, but all selected files will be processed.

Software Instructions

Select GIF files: Click the upload area to select animated GIFs. You can also select multiple files at once for batch processing. The file list will show the first 20 files, and any additional files will still be included during processing.
Set the speed adjustment method:
- By speed percentage: 200% means 2x speed, and 50% means 0.5x speed. Suitable for standard speed-up or slow-down adjustments.
- Specify frame delay: Directly set the display time for each frame, in hundredths of a second. The larger the value, the slower the playback.
- Specify target FPS: Calculate frame delay based on the target frame rate. Suitable for scenarios that require a consistent animation rhythm.
Select common presets: Click buttons such as 0.25x, 0.5x, 1x, 2x, 3x, and 4x to quickly apply common speeds.
Configure output options: Choose whether to keep the first-frame delay, limit overly fast delays, keep the original file name, and set the batch ZIP file name.
Start processing: After entering the “Process & Download” page, click “Start Processing”, and the tool will generate new GIF files using the current parameters.
Preview and download: For a single file, you can compare the original GIF with the processed GIF; after multiple files are processed, click “Download All Results ZIP” to save the results.

FAQ

A: For everyday use, By speed percentage is recommended, such as 2x speed or 0.5x speed. Choose Specify frame delay when you need precise control over the animation rhythm. Choose Specify target FPS when you need to unify playback to a specific frame rate.

A: Yes. Frame delay is measured in hundredths of a second. The smaller the value, the faster the playback; the larger the value, the slower the playback. Some players may ignore delays that are too small, so it is recommended not to set it below 2.

A: Slowing down a GIF mainly extends the display time of existing frames and does not automatically add new frames. When the slowdown is significant, each frame stays on screen longer, which may create a visual sense of pausing. Try using more moderate settings such as 0.5x or 0.75x.

A: By default, the original file names are kept. If duplicate names appear in batch files, the tool automatically adds numbers to the file names to distinguish them. You can also choose to add a custom suffix to make them easier to distinguish from the original files.

A: Common reasons include the file not being a standard GIF, the file being corrupted, missing animation frame delay information, or insufficient device memory due to a large file size. You can first re-export the GIF with image editing software, then process it again.

A: Some GIFs keep the first frame displayed longer to show a cover or opening screen. When enabled, the first-frame delay stays unchanged and only subsequent frames are adjusted. When disabled, all frames are sped up or slowed down according to the same rule.
