Software Usage Instructions

Select GIF files: Click “Select GIF” to upload the animated images you want to crop. You can select multiple files at once; the interface displays the first 20 files, but all files will be processed.
Set the cropping method: Choose fixed position and size, center crop, or percentage crop. Fixed position is suitable for precise coordinates, center crop is suitable for assets of the same size, and percentage crop is suitable for batch border removal.
Adjust the crop area: You can drag the crop box in the preview image, or enter X, Y, width, and height; ratios such as 1:1, 4:3, 16:9, and 9:16 are supported.
Select the crop shape: Rectangular cropping is suitable for standard image framing; circular cropping is suitable for creating animated avatars and can be used with a transparent background.
Configure output options: You can set encoding quality, dithering algorithm, background handling, parallel threads, whether to keep the original file names, and the ZIP file name.
Start processing and download: Click “Start Cropping” to generate the results. A single file can be downloaded directly, and multiple files can be saved as a package by clicking “Download All Results as ZIP”.

FAQ

A: Rectangular cropping keeps square boundaries and is suitable for removing black borders, cutting out extra areas, or standardizing dimensions; circular cropping turns the selected area into a circle, making it suitable for animated avatars, circular decorative images, and similar uses.

A: You can directly enter X, Y, width, and height, or drag the crop box in the preview image. X and Y indicate the top-left position of the crop area, while width and height indicate the size of the area to keep.

A: Batch cropping is suitable for GIFs with similar dimensions, consistent border positions, or a need for unified avatar sizes. If file dimensions vary greatly, center crop or percentage crop is recommended.

A: Yes. The tool processes the GIF frame by frame, preserves the delay time of each frame, and then regenerates a new animated GIF.

A: After uploading the GIF, drag the crop box to the area you want to keep and avoid the black borders; you can also enter the top-left coordinates, width, and height. For batch black border removal, percentage cropping can be used.

A: GIF cropping requires frame-by-frame parsing and re-encoding. The more frames and the larger the dimensions, the longer the processing time. It is recommended to process large files in batches and choose the “Small size” encoding quality as appropriate.
