Software Usage Instructions

Select the folder containing the images: Click the select button and choose the folder containing the images to be corrected.
Traverse subdirectories: If you need to process images in subfolders as well, enable “Traverse subdirectories”; if you only want to process the current folder, turn this option off.
Select the save directory: Choose where to save the corrected images. It is recommended to keep it separate from the source folder to avoid confusion.
Start batch correction: Click “Start Processing”, and the tool will automatically detect image orientation and rotate images for correction.
View results: After processing is complete, view the corrected images in the save directory. Their orientation will be easier to read and use.

FAQ

A: It is suitable for scenarios such as portrait photos imported with the wrong orientation, tilted scanned images, and screenshots of documents with mixed orientations. Images containing text or layout information are usually easier to orient correctly.

A: When enabled, it will process images in the selected folder and all of its subfolders. This is useful when images are organized into directories by date or project. If not enabled, only images in the current folder will be processed.

A: Possible reasons include: the image orientation is already correct; the image lacks information that can be used to determine orientation; or the image content is too plain, with no obvious text or structural features, making the orientation difficult to determine.

A: It is recommended to set the “save directory” to a different location, so you can keep one copy of the original image and one copy of the corrected result for easy comparison and rollback.

A: Orientation detection and rotation require some computing resources. We recommend processing large numbers of images in batches, reducing the number processed at the same time, and closing resource-intensive software during processing.
