Software Usage Instructions

Set the conversion mode: Choose “Image to Base64” or “Base64 to Image,” and configure Data URL, plain Base64, default image format, file naming, and ZIP file name as needed.
Save common settings: Click “Save Settings” to keep the current parameters and load them next time; click “Restore Defaults” when you need to reconfigure.
Import content: In Image to Base64 mode, you can select or drag in multiple images; in Base64 to Image mode, you can paste Data URLs or plain Base64 code, with multiple entries entered on separate lines.
Use sample data: If you do not have ready-made files, click “Load Sample Image” or “Load Sample Base64” to quickly view the conversion result.
Confirm the preview: For batch content, only the first 20 items are shown, while the rest are indicated by quantity; they will still be included in the conversion after processing starts.
Start conversion: After entering the “Process & Download” page, click “Start Conversion,” and the tool will generate Base64 text or image files according to the current settings.
Copy and download: Image to Base64 results can be copied individually, downloaded as TXT, copied all at once, or downloaded as a combined TXT; batch results can be downloaded by clicking “Download All Results ZIP.”
Handle duplicate file names: During batch downloads, original file names are preserved. If duplicate names occur, numbers are automatically appended to avoid overwriting.

FAQ

A: A Data URL includes a format prefix such as “data:image/png;base64,” and can be used directly as an image URL; plain Base64 keeps only the encoded body and is suitable for API fields, database storage, or scenarios where you add the prefix yourself.

A: Common image formats such as JPG, JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, SVG, and AVIF are supported. When converting Base64 to images, the tool will also try to identify the image type based on the file header.

A: Yes. The interface only shows previews for the first 20 items, and the remaining images are not displayed one by one, but conversion and ZIP packaging will process all imported files.

A: Common causes include missing encoding, unrelated characters mixed in during copying, a mismatched MIME format selection, or truncated Base64 content. You can first use the Data URL format, or select the corresponding default image format for pure Base64 and try again.

A: Base64 converts binary images into text encoding, and the size usually increases by about one third. This is inherent to the encoding method. When converted back to an image, a file is generated from the original binary data.

A: No. Image reading, Base64 encoding, decoding preview, and ZIP packaging are all completed locally on the current device. File contents are not submitted to the server.

A: When converting images to Base64, TXT files are generated using the original file names; when converting Base64 to images, image names are generated according to the settings. If duplicate names occur, a numeric suffix is automatically appended, such as “image_1.png”.
