Software Usage Instructions

Select a test mode: In the test settings, choose “Single Address Test” or “Batch Address Test.” Single mode is suitable for checking one website or API, while batch mode is suitable for comparing multiple addresses.
Enter test addresses:
- Single address: Enter the website, API, domain name, or IP address to be tested.
- Batch addresses: Enter one address per line. The system will automatically remove blank lines and duplicates.
Configure test parameters:
- Test count: Set the number of repeated test rounds for each address. More rounds make it easier to observe latency fluctuations.
- Single timeout: Set the waiting time for each request round. You can increase it appropriately for websites with slower responses.
- Test interval: Set the waiting time between each test to reduce interference caused by continuous requests.
- Concurrency: In batch testing, you can set the number of addresses to test simultaneously.
- Detection method: You can choose automatic combination, image detection, or Fetch detection.
- DNS resolution estimate: When enabled, the tool will additionally estimate the time spent on domain name resolution.
Load sample data: Click “Load Common Examples” or “Load Development Examples” to quickly try the batch testing process.
Save settings: After clicking “Save Settings,” commonly used parameters will be automatically restored the next time you open the tool.
Start testing: Go to the “Start Testing” page and click “Start Test.” The tool will display test progress and each round’s records in real time.
View and export results: After the test is complete, go to “Results Report” to view average latency, low value, high value, jitter, success rate, DNS time, and rating, and export a CSV or JSON file.

FAQ

A: The results indicate the round-trip time from the current device to the target address, and can be used to observe the response speed of a website, API, or server. Average latency indicates overall performance, jitter indicates stability, and success rate indicates whether the connection is reliable.

A: Network latency is affected by factors such as the local network, carrier routes, DNS resolution, target server load, CDN nodes, and temporary congestion. It is recommended to run 3 to 5 tests and evaluate the average value, jitter, and success rate together.

A: A system ping is usually based on the ICMP protocol, while an HTTP latency test is closer to a webpage or API access scenario. Some servers disable ICMP, but HTTP may still be accessible, so the two results may differ.

A: Possible reasons include an incorrectly entered address, an unreachable target site, requests restricted by security policies, network interruptions, the target server denying access, or a timeout setting that is too low. Check the address format and try again after increasing the timeout as needed.

A: Batch testing is suitable for comparing access quality across multiple websites, APIs, CDN nodes, server addresses, or backup domains. The interface displays the first 20 results, and the exported file includes all test data.

A: DNS resolution time is used to see how long it takes to convert a domain name into an IP address. If DNS time is high, it may slow down the first visit. You can troubleshoot by checking the DNS service, domain resolution records, and local network environment.

A: CSV is suitable for viewing and filtering with spreadsheet software, while JSON is suitable for preserving structured data, making it easier for programs to read or for further analysis. Both files include the test address, latency statistics, success rate, DNS time, and test time.
