Software Usage Instructions

Select a content source: After entering the tool, first choose preset pinyin, custom content, batch text, or batch files. Preset pinyin includes initials, simple finals, compound finals, nasal finals, whole-syllable recognition, and tone practice.
Enter practice content:
- Preset pinyin: Select the pinyin type you want to practice to generate content.
- Custom content: Enter pinyin, syllables, or pinyin with tones. Multiple items can be separated by spaces, line breaks, or punctuation.
- Batch text: Generate one copybook per line. You can use the format “Title|Pinyin content”.
- Batch files: Select multiple TXT or CSV files, and the tool will generate copybooks file by file and package them for download.
Set the copybook layout:
- Grid type: Choose four-line three-grid, Tianzi grid, square grid, or simple horizontal lines.
- Practice mode: Choose first-cell example, full-cell tracing, alternate-cell reference, or blank copying.
- Paper settings: Supports A4, A5, B5, and Letter paper, with portrait or landscape orientation.
- Detailed parameters: Adjust the number of cells per line, practice rows, font size, line spacing, margins, letter position, and reference transparency.
Save common settings: Click “Save Settings” to save the current layout parameters so you can continue using them the next time you open the tool.
Generate preview: Click “Generate Copybook” to view the pagination effect. Batch content will display the first several pages, and the download will include all results.
Download or print: You can download a PDF, image ZIP, or HTML ZIP, or print the generated copybook directly.

FAQ

A: Four-line three-grid is suitable for writing practice of pinyin letters, initials and finals, and syllables; Tianzi grid is suitable for pinyin or mixed pinyin and Chinese character practice that needs more obvious positioning guidance.

A: Each line represents one copybook. The recommended format is “Title|Pinyin content”. For example: Initials|b p m f d t n l; Compound finals|ai ei ui ao ou iu. If no title is entered, numbers will be assigned automatically.

A: First-grid examples show a clear reference in the first grid of each row, with light references in the remaining grids; full-grid tracing shows light pinyin in more grids, making it suitable for students who are just starting to practice writing.

A: You can choose the “Tone Practice” preset, or enter toned pinyin such as mā, má, mǎ, and mà in the custom content. If you turn off “Keep Tones,” the tone marks will be removed automatically during generation.

A: Batch files are generated using the original file names. If duplicate names occur, numbers are automatically added to the file names to distinguish them. The interface only shows the first 20 files, but processing and downloading include all files.

A: You can adjust the paper orientation, grids per row, number of practice rows, font size, margins, and line spacing. A4 portrait is usually suitable for pinyin practice in four-line three-grid format, while landscape is better for wider syllables or batch practice content.
