Software Usage Instructions

Set basic parameters: Choose gender preference, name length, and quantity to generate; if you need a fixed surname, you can enter one or more surnames, including both single-character and compound surnames.
Select surname source: Use random common surnames, specified surnames, common compound surnames, or a mixed mode of single-character and compound surnames.
Apply sample scenarios: Choose examples such as baby name references, novel character names, game character names, test data names, or naming with specified surnames, then adjust as needed.
Set filtering preferences: Choose styles such as modern and natural, classical and elegant, poetic and clear, simple and refined, or ancient-style characters, and set Five Elements preferences, preferred characters, excluded characters, and fixed characters.
Save settings: Click “Save Settings” to save commonly used parameters for continued use of the same naming rules later.
Generate names: Click “Generate Names and View Results”; the system will generate a list of names based on the current conditions and display meaning references, style tags, and reference scores.
Process results: Click an individual name to copy it, or star it to save as a favorite; you can also filter results, copy the entire batch of names, or download TXT, CSV, or JSON files.

FAQ

A: Yes. Multiple surnames can be separated by commas, spaces, enumeration commas, or line breaks, such as “Wang Li Ouyang Gu”. One will be randomly selected from these surnames during generation.

A: The tool includes common single-character and compound surnames. You can choose compound surname mode separately, or choose a mixed mode of single-character and compound surnames; manually entered compound surnames such as “Ouyang, Sima, Shangguan” are also supported.

A: Male names tend to use bright, steady, and expansive characters; female names tend to use elegant, gentle, and graceful characters; no preference mode mixes multiple character libraries, making it suitable for character naming and test data.

A: Preferred characters increase the likelihood of related Chinese characters appearing, for example, entering “安, 嘉, 若”; excluded characters are removed from the candidate character pool, for example, if you do not want “伟, 芳, 强” to appear, you can enter them as excluded characters.

A: Names are deduplicated within a single generation. If you specify a surname, fixed characters, and many excluded-character restrictions, the number of possible combinations will decrease. We recommend relaxing the conditions or reducing the number to generate.

A: Five Elements preferences are categorized by common radicals and meanings, making them suitable as a naming reference. For official naming, it is also recommended to consider pronunciation, character shape, meaning, family customs, and actual usage scenarios.

A: Results support TXT, CSV, and JSON formats. TXT is suitable for direct copying, CSV is suitable for organizing in spreadsheets, and JSON is suitable for program testing or data processing.
