Software Usage Instructions

Set basic costs: Go to the basic ROI step, select a platform preset, and enter the product selling price, product cost, express delivery fee, shipping insurance, return shipping fee, platform commission, payment fee rate, and taxes.
Add promotion and return parameters: Enter the coupon value, coupon usage rate, full-reduction or campaign allocation, gift cost, packaging cost, other costs, and return rate. The system will calculate the return loss.
View ROI results: Click “Calculate ROI” to view profit per item, profit margin, ROI, total cost, break-even selling price, cost recovery multiple, cost structure chart, and price sensitivity table.
Analyze ad returns: Go to the ad pricing step and enter ad spend, impressions, clicks, completed orders, average order value, and gross profit per item to calculate ROAS, net ad ROI, CTR, CVR, CPC, CAC, and break-even metrics.
Generate pricing suggestions: Enter product cost, express delivery fee, platform commission, payment fee rate, other fixed costs, and target profit margin. You can also add a competitor price range to generate reference selling prices under different profit margins.
Estimate sales and profit: Enter estimated daily sales volume, monthly fixed costs, profit per item, and selling price to view monthly sales revenue and monthly net profit, helping evaluate business results after a campaign or ad placement.
Compare multiple plans: Go to the batch plan step and enter different selling prices, costs, express delivery fees, commission rates, return rates, and promotion amounts in the plan table. The tool will compare profit and ROI and provide a reference plan.
Calculate products in batches: Paste CSV data, or import CSV, XLSX, or XLS files. The field format is: product name,selling price,cost,express delivery fee,platform commission (%),taxes,return rate (%).
Download batch results: After batch calculation, you can download the current CSV results. When uploading multiple files, the results for each file can be generated as CSV files using the original file names and packaged into a ZIP for download.
Save and export data: In the save and export step, enter notes and save history records. You can also copy the result summary, or export a JSON backup for later import and recovery.

FAQ

A: ROI focuses more on the relationship between profit and input cost, making it suitable for determining whether a single product order or campaign is profitable. ROAS focuses more on the relationship between sales revenue generated by ads and ad spend, making it suitable for evaluating ad return performance. It is recommended to review both together.

A: The platform commission can be entered based on the platform your store is on and the product category. The tool provides common presets for Taobao, Tmall, JD.com, Pinduoduo, Douyin, WeChat Mini Shop, and others, but actual category rates may vary. It is recommended to adjust them according to the backend settlement rules.

Answer: Return loss is estimated by multiplying “product cost + outbound shipping fee + return shipping fee” by the return rate, to reflect the average per-order cost caused by returns. For categories with high return rates, it is recommended to separately verify return shipping fees and losses from secondary sales.

Answer: The break-even selling price is a reference price after covering product cost, logistics, platform fees, promotion costs, and return losses. When setting coupons, full-reduction discounts, livestream prices, or clearance prices, you can use it to determine whether the price is likely to result in a loss.

Answer: One product per line, with fields in the following order: product name, selling price, cost, shipping fee, platform commission rate (%), taxes and fees, return rate (%). You may keep the header row; the tool will automatically skip the header and prompt you for rows with incomplete formatting.

Answer: A negative net ad ROI usually means that the gross profit generated by ads has not yet covered the ad spend. You can investigate by improving conversion rates, lowering CPC, increasing average order value, optimizing creatives, and controlling promotion costs.
