Software Usage Instructions

Select a data source: You can use manual input, paste data, import CSV/TXT/Excel files, or load sample data. The data format is category name and value. Values support positive numbers, negative numbers, decimals, percent signs, and thousands separators.
Edit chart data:
- Manual input: Enter category names and corresponding values in the table. You can add rows, add in bulk, delete rows, or clear data.
- Paste data: Copy two columns of data from spreadsheet software and paste them, then click “Parse to Table” to write them into the data table.
- Import files: Supports CSV, TSV, TXT, XLSX, and XLS files. When selecting files in bulk, the interface displays the first 20 file names, and all selected files will be processed.
- Sample data: You can load examples such as financial profit and loss, growth rate comparison, satisfaction differences, and temperature deviations.
Set chart style:
- Basic settings: Set the title, subtitle, chart orientation, sorting method, export width, and height.
- Color settings: Set colors for positive, negative, and zero values separately, or choose a built-in color theme.
- Value settings: Choose plain numbers, signed numbers, percentage, or currency format, and set decimal places, prefix, suffix, and thousands separators.
- Display options: Control value labels, zero axis line, gridlines, legend, symmetrical scale, and rounded bars.
Save settings: Click “Save Settings” to save the current style parameters. Later, you can click “Load Settings” to continue using the same configuration.
Generate preview: After entering the “Preview & Export” page, click “Generate Chart” to view the chart effect and data overview, including number of data items, net total, positive total, negative total, highest value, and lowest value.
Export results: A single chart can be downloaded as PNG, JPG, SVG, CSV, or JSON; for multi-file batch processing, you can choose PNG, JPG, or SVG format and download a ZIP archive.

FAQ

A: It is suitable for displaying data that changes above and below a zero axis, such as financial profit and loss, budget variance, growth rate changes, target completion deviations, positive and negative satisfaction feedback, and temperature deviations.

A: It is recommended to organize it into two columns: the first column for category names and the other column for values. The tool automatically recognizes common headers and value columns, and supports plus/minus signs, decimals, thousands separators, and percent signs.

A: Use a horizontal bar chart when category names are long or there are many data items. Use a vertical column chart when category names are short and you need a standard report style.

A: Positive and negative data have opposite meanings. Using different colors helps readers distinguish directions of change such as growth and decline, profit and loss, and above or below a benchmark.

A: Batch processing generates chart files using the original file names. If duplicate names occur, a number is added after the file name to distinguish them, and all results are placed in a ZIP archive.

A: Single charts support export as PNG, JPG, SVG, CSV, and JSON. Batch files support packaged downloads in PNG, JPG, and SVG formats.
