Software Usage Instructions
- Enter or import data: You can enter data in a table, paste table data, or import CSV, TXT, XLSX, or XLS files. The first column is used as the X-axis labels, and the following columns are used as data series.
- Select an area chart type: Supports basic area charts, layered area charts, stacked area charts, and 100% stacked area charts. Choose the appropriate type based on trend comparison, cumulative scale, or proportion changes.
- Set chart text: Enter the chart title, subtitle, X-axis title, and Y-axis title to make the chart easier to understand.
- Adjust style parameters: You can set the chart size, curve type, sorting method, display count, font size, number format, fill opacity, border width, legend, gridlines, data points, and value labels.
- Configure colors and background: You can choose color schemes such as business clarity, fresh contrast, steady report style, or warm emphasis, and also set the background color, text color, axis color, grid color, and transparent background.
- Generate and export: Click “Generate Preview” to view the result, then export as PNG, JPG, SVG, PDF, or CSV as needed. When importing multiple files, you can batch-generate a ZIP file. File names will be kept based on the original file names, and duplicate names will automatically have numbers added to distinguish them.
- Save settings: For frequently used styles and data configurations, click “Save Settings” so they can be reused the next time you open the tool.
FAQ
A: A basic area chart is suitable for showing the trend of one or multiple series; a layered area chart is suitable for comparing changes after multiple series are overlaid; a stacked area chart is suitable for showing the total and its components; a 100% stacked area chart is suitable for showing how each series’ proportion changes over time or across categories.
A: It is recommended that the first row be the header, the first column be the X-axis labels, and the following columns be numeric series. For example: Month, Revenue, Cost, Profit. Numeric columns can contain integers or decimals, and empty values will be treated as 0.
A: Use a 100% stacked area chart when you want to focus on how each category’s proportion of the total changes. It normalizes the total at each X-axis position to 100%, making it easier to observe the proportion structure.
A: Common causes include no valid numeric columns, empty data rows, headers not matching data columns, or unrecognized characters in the numbers. Please make sure the first column contains labels and the following columns contain numbers.
A: PNG is suitable for document and presentation illustrations, JPG is suitable for image scenarios with smaller file sizes, SVG is a vector format that is easy to scale and edit later, and PDF is suitable for printing or archiving.
A: Batch processing generates a corresponding chart for each data file, and the output file name uses the original file name by default. If duplicate names occur, a number is automatically appended to the file name to avoid overwriting.
A: No. File parsing, data processing, chart generation, and export are all completed on the current page, and data will not be submitted to the server.
