Software Usage Instructions

Select the main folder: Click the "Browse" button to select the main folder containing video files, or enter the folder path directly in the input box.
Set subdirectory traversal: If you need to process video files in subdirectories, check the "Traverse subdirectories" option, and the software will automatically process video files at all levels.
Select the save directory: Click the "Browse" button to choose where to save the split videos. The software will automatically preserve the original directory structure.
Set the split duration:
- Fixed duration mode: Enter a single number, such as "5", to split once every 5 seconds
- Random duration mode: Enter a time range, such as "3-8", to randomly generate each segment duration between 3 and 8 seconds
Start processing: Click the "Start" button, and the software will automatically batch split all video files. The processing progress will be displayed in real time in the progress bar.
View results: After processing is complete, the split video clips will be saved in the specified directory, with file names in the format "original file name_part number.extension".

A: The software supports mainstream video formats such as MP4, AVI, MKV, MOV, FLV, and WMV. These formats cover the vast majority of video file types used in daily scenarios.

A: Fixed duration mode splits the video at fixed intervals. For example, entering "5" cuts one segment every 5 seconds; Random duration mode randomly generates the duration of each segment within the specified range. For example, entering "3-8" makes each segment randomly last between 3 and 8 seconds, which is suitable for creating short video materials with varied pacing.

A: The split video files are automatically named in the format "original file name_part number.extension". For example, if the original video is "demo.mp4", the split files will be named "demo_part1.mp4", "demo_part2.mp4", and so on, making them easy to identify and manage.

A: Possible causes include: the video file is corrupted or has abnormal encoding, the video is too short to be split according to the set duration, insufficient disk space, or the output directory does not have write permissions. We recommend checking whether the original video file can play normally and ensuring that the output directory has enough storage space.
