Merge method

Sequential join is best for song medleys; overlay mix is best for voiceover and background audio

Merge mode Sequential join connects files in list order; overlay mix starts all audio at the same time.

Crossfade Only applies to sequential merging. Use 2–4s for music, 0.5–1.5s for speech.

Fade curve Soft curves suit music; linear curves suit speech merging.

Clip gap Applies when crossfade is 0; adds silence between clips.

Fade in Merged audio starts from silence and fades in.

Fade out Merged audio gradually lowers volume at the end.

Software Instructions

Select audio files: Click “Select Audio Files” or drag audio into the tool area. Common formats such as MP3, WAV, FLAC, AAC, OGG, M4A, AIFF, and OPUS are supported. You can also load sample audio to preview the effect.
Adjust playback order: Use the move up and move down buttons in the file list to adjust the order, or sort by file name. The interface only displays the first 20 files, but all files will be read during processing.
Set the merge mode:
- Sequential concatenation: Connect multiple audio clips in list order, with options for crossfade, fade curve, and interval between clips.
- Overlay mixing: Start multiple audio clips at the same time, suitable for scenarios such as voiceover, background music, and sound effect layering.
Configure audio effects: Set fade-in at the beginning, fade-out at the end, overall volume, volume normalization, and peak limiting to make the merged audio transitions smoother.
Select output parameters: Choose MP3, WAV, FLAC, OGG, M4A, or AAC format, and set the bitrate, sample rate, channels, output file name, and ZIP file name.
Save settings: Click “Save Settings” to store commonly used parameters, which will be automatically applied the next time you use the tool.
Start merging and download: Go to the “Process & Download” page and click “Start Merging Audio”. Once complete, you can preview the result, download a single audio file, or download a ZIP file containing the audio and list.

FAQ

A: Sequential concatenation connects audio files one after another in the order of the file list, suitable for song medleys, course recordings, and podcast clip organization. Overlay mixing plays multiple audio clips at the same time, suitable for scenarios such as adding background music to voiceover or layering sound effects.

A: For joining songs, 2 to 4 seconds is recommended; for joining speech, 0.5 to 1.5 seconds is recommended. If the duration is too short, the transition may feel abrupt; if it is too long, it may overlap audio content. You can test with sample audio first.

A: Exporting to MP3, WAV, FLAC, OGG, M4A, and AAC is supported. MP3 is suitable for everyday playback and sharing, WAV is suitable for further editing, FLAC is suitable for preserving higher audio quality, and M4A and AAC are suitable for playback on mobile devices.

A: No. Audio reading, merging, encoding, and ZIP packaging are all completed on the current device. The server is only responsible for loading the tool page and script resources.

A: Common causes include file corruption, nonstandard encoding, protected files, insufficient device memory, or overly long audio duration. You can first convert them to MP3 or WAV before merging, or process the files in batches.

A: Volume normalization makes the loudness of audio from different sources more consistent; peak limiting can reduce the chance of pops or clipping during mixing or fade overlaps. It is recommended to enable these when processing songs and mixing materials.
