Traditional to Simplified Convert Traditional Chinese and common Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan terms to Simplified. Simplified to Traditional Convert Simplified Chinese to Traditional characters, with regional term options. Smart detect Auto-detect the conversion direction based on the mix of Simplified and Traditional characters.

Software Instructions

Set conversion parameters: First choose Traditional to Simplified, Simplified to Traditional, or smart detection mode, then set regional variants, terminology handling, text encoding, and punctuation options.
Choose an input method:
- Text input: After pasting Chinese content, you can preview the conversion result in real time or load Traditional, Simplified, or mixed examples.
- Batch files: Select files such as TXT, MD, CSV, JSON, XML, HTML, RTF, DOCX, and PDF. The list shows the first 20 files, but all files are included during processing.
Run the conversion: Go to the “Convert and Download” step and click “Start Conversion”. Text mode generates copyable content; file mode processes files one by one and displays progress.
Get results: Text results can be copied or downloaded as TXT; after batch file processing, a ZIP can be downloaded. Output file names use the original file names by default, and numbers are added automatically when duplicates occur.
Save settings: Frequently used conversion directions, regional variants, encoding, and format options can be saved for convenient reuse next time.

A: Traditional to Simplified is suitable for converting Traditional Chinese content to Simplified Chinese; Simplified to Traditional is suitable for generating Traditional Chinese content; Smart detection determines the conversion direction based on character-form changes in the text.

A: Choose Mainland Simplified terms when you need common Mainland expressions; choose Taiwan Traditional terms for Taiwan-oriented content; choose Hong Kong Traditional terms for Hong Kong-oriented content; for regular character-form conversion only, choose standard Simplified/Traditional conversion.

A: Text-based files such as TXT, MD, CSV, TSV, JSON, XML, HTML, RTF, DOCX, and PDF are supported. DOCX generates a converted DOCX; PDF extracts recognizable text and generates a TXT.

A: PDF layout structures are complex, so the tool extracts recognizable text from them before conversion. TXT output is easier to view and edit further. Scanned PDFs need OCR recognition first.

A: The conversion results keep the original file names by default. If multiple files produce the same name, the system will add a number after the file name, such as “Document2.txt”, to avoid overwriting results.

A: You can adjust the text file encoding in the settings. For common older Chinese files, try GB18030 or Big5; for plain text, UTF-8 is recommended.

A: No. The conversion process is completed on the current device, and file content is not submitted to the server, making it suitable for processing manuscripts, materials, and bulk text content.
