Set conversion options

Choose a conversion mode before processing. Exact layout is best for e-invoices, official documents, and table-based OFD files.

Exact layout Extract text, images, and lines, using positioned elements in Word to preserve the original layout. Plain text Extract text in reading order to create an easier-to-edit DOCX document. Image mode Render pages as images embedded in Word. Best for visual archiving; text is not directly editable.

Image render quality Affects image mode and fallback preview rendering. Higher quality usually takes longer and creates larger files.

Software Usage Instructions

Select OFD files: Click the “Select OFD Files” button to choose the OFD documents you need to convert; you can also drag files in. Selecting multiple OFD files at once is supported.
View the file queue: When multiple files are selected, the page will display the first 20 files, while the remaining files will be indicated with a text notice and converted together during processing.
Set the conversion mode:
- Accurate restoration: Extracts text, images, and lines, suitable for electronic invoices, official documents, and form-based OFD files.
- Plain text: Extracts text in reading order, suitable for later editing and content organization.
- Image mode: Renders pages as images and embeds them into Word, suitable for preserving the layout appearance.
Adjust parameters: You can set image rendering quality, preview page count, output file naming rules, and text formatting options; for commonly used parameters, click “Save Settings”.
Start processing: After entering the generate/download step, click “Start Processing” and wait for the progress to complete.
Download results: A single file will generate a DOCX download button; multiple files will generate a ZIP download button. Output file names default to the original file names, and numbers are automatically appended when names conflict.

FAQ

A: Accurate restoration preserves text positions, images, and lines; Plain text mainly outputs editable text; Image mode preserves the page appearance, but the text cannot be edited directly.

A: Text in Accurate restoration and Plain text modes can usually be edited; Image mode places the page into Word as an image, which is suitable for viewing and archiving but not for directly modifying text.

A: By default, a DOCX file with the same name is generated from the original OFD file name. If multiple converted files have duplicate names, the system will append a number to the file name to distinguish them and package them together as a ZIP for download.

A: OFD is a fixed-layout document format, and some seals, vector paths, special fonts, or encrypted content may not be fully mapped to Word elements. If layout differences occur, you can try image mode to preserve the page appearance.

A: Common standard OFD documents are supported, including electronic invoices, electronic official documents, electronic certificates/licenses, and other OFD fixed-layout files. If a file is corrupted or protected, parsing may fail.

A: Choose high quality when you need a clear preview or are using image mode; balanced quality is recommended for everyday conversions; if you are more concerned about file size, choose low size.
