Software Usage Instructions

Select an image file: Click the “Select Image” button to import the image file whose metadata you want to edit. Common formats such as JPG, JPEG, PNG, and HEIC can all be imported.
Read existing information: After import, the tool will automatically read the image’s existing EXIF information and display it in the form, making it easy to modify based on the original data.
Edit key fields: Modify fields such as shooting date, camera brand/model, lens information, exposure parameters, and GPS location as needed.
- Shooting date: YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS (e.g., 2025-12-13 16:11:00)
- Aperture: f/value (e.g., f/2.2)
- Exposure time: Fraction format (e.g., 1/50)
- GPS coordinates: degrees;minutes;seconds (e.g., 45;40;3.44)
Set output options: Select the output format (JPG or HEIC), and enter the export file name in “Output file name (without extension)”; leave it blank to name it automatically.
Start processing and view the result: Click “Start Processing” and wait for the completion prompt. The processed file will be output to the directory where the program is located.

FAQ

A: You can edit the shooting date and time, camera brand and model, lens information, exposure parameters (aperture/shutter/ISO/exposure compensation/focal length, etc.), as well as GPS latitude, longitude, altitude, and other information. The writable fields may vary depending on the image format.

A: Common reasons include an incorrect format or invalid field value. For example, the shooting date must be in “YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS” format; exposure time is recommended in a fraction format such as “1/50”; GPS coordinates should be entered as “degrees;minutes;seconds”. Content with non-standard formatting may be ignored.

A: Processed files are output to the program directory by default. If you enter an “Output file name (without extension)”, the file will be exported with that name; if left blank, “_edited” will be appended to the original file name as the result file name.

A: HEIC export requires the corresponding encoding support components in your environment. If export fails, we recommend switching to JPG output first to complete the task; if you specifically need HEIC, follow the prompts to add the required HEIC support and try again.

A: Yes. When the tool writes the shooting date, it also synchronizes the file’s time attributes, making it easier to sort and archive by date in file managers and albums.

A: The current version focuses on precise editing of single images, making it easier to control and review each field. If you need batch processing, you can organize your field templates and output rules for future expansion or customization.
