Software Usage Instructions

Add font files: Click the "Add Files" button to select font files, or drag and drop font files directly into the software window. Five input formats are supported: TTF, OTF, WOFF, WOFF2, and EOT. You can add multiple files at once for batch processing.
Select output formats: In the output format area, check the target formats you want to convert to. Six output formats are supported: TTF, OTF, WOFF, WOFF2, EOT, and SVG. You can select multiple formats for one-time output.
Set the output directory: Click the "Select Output Directory" button to specify where the converted files will be saved. You can check the "Preserve Directory Structure" option to keep the original files' folder hierarchy in the output directory.
Configure subsetting options (optional):
- Keep all characters: No trimming; keep all glyphs in the font
- Latin characters only: Keep only Latin letters, numbers, and common punctuation
- Chinese characters only: Keep CJK Chinese characters and basic Latin characters
- Custom character set: Enter the specific character text to keep
Adjust compression level (optional): You can choose from no compression, low compression, medium compression, high compression, and other levels. The higher the compression level, the smaller the file, but the slower the conversion speed.
Generate CSS code (optional): Check the "Generate @font-face CSS" option, and the software will automatically generate ready-to-use CSS code for the converted fonts, with support for setting the font-display property and custom font paths.
Start conversion: Click the "Start Conversion" button, and the software will use multithreading to process all font files in parallel. You can view real-time progress and log information during conversion.
View results: After conversion is complete, the software will display success/failure statistics and a detailed conversion report. You can open the output directory directly to view the converted font files.

A: Conversion is supported between six formats: TTF (TrueType), OTF (OpenType), WOFF (Web Open Font Format), WOFF2 (WOFF 2.0), EOT (Embedded OpenType), and SVG. Input supports five formats: TTF, OTF, WOFF, WOFF2, and EOT. Output supports all six formats, and you can select multiple target formats for one-time output.

A: Font subsetting means extracting only the characters you need from a complete font file and removing unnecessary glyph data. For example, a Chinese font containing tens of thousands of characters may be over 10MB. By subsetting it to keep only the few hundred characters actually used, the file size can be reduced to a few dozen KB. This significantly improves web font loading speed.

A: WOFF uses the Zlib compression algorithm, while WOFF2 uses the Brotli compression algorithm. WOFF2 has a compression ratio about 30% higher than WOFF, resulting in smaller files and faster loading. Most modern mainstream browsers currently support the WOFF2 format, so WOFF2 is recommended first. If you need compatibility with older browser environments, you can output both WOFF and WOFF2 formats as a fallback solution.

A: Without using the subsetting feature, format conversion is lossless and fully preserves all glyph outlines, kerning, ligatures, and OpenType typographic features. If subsetting is enabled, only characters within the specified range will be retained, but the outlines and typographic features of the retained characters will not be affected.

A: The size limit for a single font file is 200MB, the maximum number of files per batch is 10000, and the total file size limit is 5000MB. These limits are sufficient for most font conversion scenarios. If files are too large and cause insufficient memory, batch processing is recommended.

A: After checking the "Generate @font-face CSS" option, the software will generate a CSS file in the output directory containing @font-face declarations for all converted fonts. Include this CSS file in your web page and place the corresponding font files in the specified path to use them. The CSS code will be automatically ordered by format priority (WOFF2 first) and include EOT fallback syntax for IE compatibility.

A: EOT is a relatively special embedded font format, and some non-standard EOT files may not be parsed correctly. We recommend confirming whether the source file is a valid EOT format. If you are converting to EOT from another format, make sure the source font file itself is not corrupted. The EOT format is mainly used for compatibility with older IE browsers. If you have no special requirements, we recommend using the WOFF2 format first.
