Software Usage Instructions

Select a processing mode: The tool provides two processing modes:
- Single image processing: Suitable for processing a single image, with instant preview of the result and download available
- Batch processing: Suitable for processing multiple images. After processing is complete, the images are automatically packaged and provided as a ZIP download.
Upload image files: Click the file selection area and choose the image files to process. Common image formats such as JPG, PNG, BMP, and WebP are supported. Batch mode: You can select multiple files, but too many are not recommended. For large numbers of files, please use the software version.
Configure processing parameters:
- Mosaic strength: Select the mosaic block size. The larger the value, the stronger the blur effect
- License plate color type: You can choose automatic recognition of all types, or specify blue plates, yellow plates, green plates, or white plates to improve recognition accuracy
- Detection sensitivity: Adjust the sensitivity of license plate detection. The higher the sensitivity, the wider the detection range
- Output format: Choose PNG (lossless), JPEG (smaller), or WebP (efficient compression)
- Output quality: Adjust the compression quality of the output image
- Expanded area ratio: Adjust how far the mosaic coverage area expands outward
Start processing:
- Single image mode: Processing starts automatically after uploading an image. After completion, you can click "Reprocess" to adjust the parameters
- Batch mode: Click the "Start Batch Processing" button to start processing. You can view the processing progress in the log area
Download results:
- Single image mode: Click the "Download Result" button to save the processed image
- Batch mode: Click the "Download All Results (ZIP)" button to download a compressed package containing all processed images

Frequently Asked Questions

A: The tool supports recognition of common domestic license plate types: blue plates (ordinary small vehicles), yellow plates (large vehicles/commercial vehicles), green plates (new energy vehicles), and white plates. You can select "All types" in the parameter settings for automatic recognition, or select a specific type to improve recognition accuracy.

A: License plate recognition results are affected by many factors: 1) insufficient image clarity; 2) the license plate angle is too large or the plate is obstructed; 3) lighting is too dark or overexposed; 4) the license plate is severely dirty or damaged. We recommend trying the following: increase detection sensitivity, select the corresponding license plate color type, and use a clearer image. If it cannot be recognized automatically, you can try again with the software version.

A: A license plate is a long strip, so when masking it, the detected strip-shaped area needs to be covered with mosaic blocks. The mosaic strength determines how blurred the masking effect will be. Light (8 pixels) is suitable for scenarios where only slight obstruction is needed; Medium (15 pixels) is the recommended setting, as it effectively hides license plate information while maintaining the overall look of the image; Strong/Ultra Strong is suitable for scenarios where the license plate needs to be completely obscured. To find the option that works best for you, preview the effect in single-image processing mode before batch processing.

A: No. All image processing in this tool is completed within your browser, and no files will be uploaded to the server. The tool uses pure front-end technology to perform license plate detection and mosaic processing, ensuring the security and privacy of your image data.

A: The tool itself does not have a strict file count limit, but we recommend processing no more than 100 images at a time. Processing a large number of images will consume more memory and CPU resources. If you need to process a massive number of images, please try the software version.

Answer: PNG format uses lossless compression, with image quality consistent with the original, making it suitable for scenarios that require high-quality output; JPEG format produces smaller files, making it suitable for online sharing; WebP format combines a high compression ratio with good image quality and is the recommended format for modern web pages. If you have no special requirements, PNG format is recommended to preserve image quality.
