Tool Usage

Return to old version

Set units and fuel price first, then enter mileage and fuel data. The tool will convert fuel economy, estimate costs, monthly fuel use, CO2 emissions, and factor adjustments based on current settings. CSV previews only the first 20 rows; all data is calculated when processed.

Choose calculation mode

Choose single entry, full-tank method, or CSV batch processing based on your data. Single mode also supports adding multiple records for totals.

Tip: factors generate “adjusted fuel economy” in results for reference and comparison.

Software Usage Instructions

Select calculation mode: Supports three modes: single/list calculation, full-tank method, and batch CSV. It is recommended to select a mode first, then set units and parameters.
Set units and cost parameters: Select the distance unit, fuel unit, and main result display format, and enter the fuel price, estimated monthly mileage, CO2 factor, and currency symbol.
Set influencing factors: You can enter idling time, air conditioning usage percentage, extra load, road conditions, tire pressure deviation, and ambient temperature. The tool will generate adjusted fuel consumption for reference.
Single/list calculation: Enter the distance traveled, fuel consumed, and optional fuel price. Click “Add to List” to record multiple entries, or click “Calculate This Entry Directly” to view the result for a single entry.
Full-tank method calculation: Enter the previous odometer reading, current odometer reading, and current refueling amount, then click “Calculate Full-Tank Method” to get measured fuel consumption, fuel cost, monthly fuel use, and emissions results.
Batch CSV processing: Select one or more CSV files and click “Start Batch Calculation”. The results will retain the original file names; if duplicate names occur, numbers will be appended automatically to distinguish them, and a ZIP can be downloaded.

FAQ

A: It is recommended to include the distance and fuel fields. Optional fields include fuel_price, distance_unit, fuel_unit, monthly_km, idle_minutes, ac_percent, load_kg, traffic, tire_pressure_deviation_percent, and temperature_c.

A: The full-tank method is suitable for measuring daily real-world fuel consumption. Record the odometer reading after the last fill-up, the odometer reading after the current fill-up, and the current refueling amount to calculate the fuel consumption for that trip segment.

A: Yes. The tool automatically outputs L/100km, km/L, US MPG, and UK MPG. Users only need to select the main result display format.

A: Adjusted fuel consumption is estimated by combining factors such as idling, air conditioning, load, road conditions, tire pressure, and temperature. It is used for comparison with base fuel consumption and does not replace the vehicle’s instruments or long-term measured records.

A: Yes. The interface only displays the first 20 rows for preview. Actual processing covers all CSV data, and the downloaded result file contains the complete calculation results.

A: Differences can be caused by fuel pump measurement, fueling method, road conditions, temperature, tire condition, and driving habits. We recommend tracking multiple times using the same recording method, then checking the average.
