Software Instructions

Add image sources: Click the select button or drag in the images you want to process. Single files, multiple files, and entire folders are supported. After checking "Recursive subfolders", images at all levels within the folder can be processed together.
Set page number content: Enter the page number style in the format box. Placeholders such as {n} current number, {total} total count, {name} file name, {folder} folder name, and {date} date are supported. You can also set the starting number and zero-padding digits (such as 001, 002).
Select numbering range: Choose global continuous numbering, or number each folder independently, suitable for images in different chapters or groups.
Adjust position and style:
- Page number position: Nine positions are available: top left, top center, top right, middle left, center, middle right, bottom left, bottom center, and bottom right. Horizontal and vertical offsets can also be fine-tuned.
- Text style: Customize the font, font size, color, and opacity, and enable stroke, shadow, and a semi-transparent background box to keep page numbers clearly visible on various image backgrounds.
Configure output options: Select the output format (keep original format / JPG / PNG / WEBP) and naming suffix. You can choose to preserve the original directory structure and image metadata, and set the number of concurrent threads.
Preview and start processing: After confirming the effect through the real-time preview, click the start button. The tool will batch-add page numbers to all images according to the settings and output them to the specified directory.

FAQ

A: Common formats such as JPG, JPEG, PNG, BMP, GIF, TIFF, WEBP, and ICO are supported. When exporting, you can keep the original format or convert all files to JPG, PNG, or WEBP. Multi-frame GIF and TIFF images can have page numbers added frame by frame.

A: Nine preset positions are available: top left, top center, top right, middle left, center, middle right, bottom left, bottom center, and bottom right. Based on the preset position, you can also fine-tune the horizontal and vertical offsets to place the page number in a more suitable location.

A: Yes. You can customize the starting number, for example starting from 5 and increasing from there. You can also set zero-padding digits to display page numbers in a fixed-length format such as 001, 002, making sorting and alignment easier.

A: Global numbering treats all images as one continuous sequence; numbering by folder restarts from the starting number within each folder, making it suitable for organizing images separately by chapter, group, or different project.

A: Not by default. The tool outputs files to the specified directory using the configured naming suffix, and automatically appends a number when a file with the same name is encountered to avoid conflicts. You can also choose to preserve the original directory structure for easy one-to-one matching with the source files.

A: The tool uses worker threads and multithreaded concurrent processing, and keeps logs streamlined, so the interface remains smooth even when processing large batches of images. If you have a very large number of images, you can increase the thread count appropriately and process them in batches for more stable performance.

A: You can enable an outline, shadow, or semi-transparent background box, and adjust the text color and opacity. This keeps page numbers clear and readable whether the background image is light or dark.
